Nominations for two of the biggest ceremonies during awards season have been announced in recent days.
On Sunday, the Critics Choice Award nominations were revealed – unfortunately not much attention for Big Little Lies or The Morning Show, although very well deserved recognition for Billy Crudup’s performance as Corey in The Morning Show, and Nicole Kidman, Laura Dern and Meryl Streep for Big Little Lies. The Critics Choice Awards will be held on January 12th and broadcast live on The CW in the US.
And yesterday, the prestigious Golden Globe Awards nominations were announced. Big congratulations to Reese for scoring a nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Drama for The Morning Show! She is joined in the category by her The Morning Show co-star Jennifer Aniston and her Big Little Lies co-star Nicole Kidman! Both shows were also nominated for Best Television Series – Drama and Meryl Streep got nominated for her supporting role in Big Little Lies. The Golden Globe Awards will take place on January 5th.

Following on from our initial update, in the past week we’ve completed our set of HD screencaptures from Reese’s recent TV talk/documentary show Shine On With Reese! I really enjoyed this series – I enjoyed seeing Reese’s affection for her friends and her enthusiasm and curiosity around female leadership. I also liked her unashamed confidence in herself! The series is on Netflix now, and is a must see 🙂 Enjoy the 5,000+ gorgeous HD screencaptures from the series in our Gallery:
There was no Bradley Jackson in the latest episode of The Morning Show unfortunately, which was a disturbing and revelatory flashback episode. There are 2 more episodes of season 1 to air, and we hope the show comes back to the present day next week to see more of Bradley…

Ronan Farrow Hasn’t Seen The Morning Show Yet But ‘Thinks the World’ of Reese Witherspoon
Ronan Farrow is understandably busy at the moment, but he promises to stream a certain ripped-from-the-headlines series soon.
The Pulitzer Prize–winning journalist, 31, exposed alleged sexual misconduct and cover-ups at NBC when he published his book Catch and Kill last month.
The contents of Farrow’s best-seller mirror the fiction depicted in Apple TV‘s new drama series, The Morning Show.
Though he’s yet to tune into the show, which stars Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Anniston, the writer tells PEOPLE he intends to binge-watch it eventually.
“I got a truly lovely note from Reese Witherspoon who I think the world of and is doing a lot of great things for reading too,” he tells PEOPLE. “You know, she really supports books, and she posted about Catch and Kill when it came out and that was wonderful to see as someone who admires her.”
He added: “The moment I have free time, I will watch, because a lot of great people worked on that.”
While Catch and Kill digs into real-world allegations against former morning news anchor Matt Lauer, Morning Show includes a Lauer-like character played by Steve Carell, who is ousted from his long-running television gig when his misconduct comes to light.
