Reese Witherspoon will sit down with MTV News for an exclusive interview and premiere of a previously unseen clip from her upcoming film “This Means War.” The special, “MTV First: Reese Witherspoon,” will air on January 31 at 7:56 p.m. ET on MTV.
Following the on-air segment, Academy Award winner Witherspoon will stay for an additional 30-minute interview on MTV.com with MTV News’ Josh Horowitz. Fans can be a part of the action right away by submitting video or text questions starting Monday (January 23) on MTV.com or via Twitter by using the @MTVNews hashtag #MTVFirst.
Witherspoon stars in the McG-directed comedy-action film as a seductive female dating two of the world’s deadliest CIA operatives (played by Chris Pine and Tom Hardy) whose partnership and friendship is put in jeopardy when they begin to battle for her affections. Instead of ‘fessing up to her about the love triangle, they try to settle the matter using all the weapons at their disposal.
The film also stars one of Witherspoon’s real-life pals, comedian and “Chelsea Lately” host Chelsea Handler, who gives Reese’s character the terrible advice that she should continue dating both men.
After positive word-of-mouth during test screenings, Twentieth Century Fox pushed the movie’s release date up by three days to Valentine’s Day (February 14). “After all,” said director McG, “everyone needs a little action on Valentine’s Day.”
Reese will appear on her friend and co-star Chelsea Lately’s show on January 22nd, presumably as part of promotion for This Means War:
Additionally, it was confirmed that Oscar winner Reese Witherspoon will appear on the post-late night show on January 22.

To mark the start of promotion for This Means War, Reese is gracing the cover of the new February 2012 issue of US Elle! A slightly photoshopped cover is more than made up for by the absolutely gorgeous photoshoot inside! The interview is really nice too, and Reese talks about the movie, her new husband, and love. The interview also features several interesting quotes from friends and former directors and co-stars, who all talk glowingly about Reese, of course.
The cover has been added to our Gallery, along with scans from the full spread which do unfortunately have horrible watermarks right through the middle! You can see still the stunning photos in them, but rest assured I will be replacing these with better quality scans as soon as possible 😉
Props to the always amazing @MagazineShelf for the alert to this.
“I’m more womanly. I feel sexier. I’m more comfortable with my sexuality as I get older. When I was younger, I didn’t know why men were starting to look at me. Now I know why men are looking – and I’m cool with it.” – Reese Witherspoon in Elle

Aussie Reese fans should pick up a copy of the new February 2012 issue of Marie Claire, as Miss Witherspoon is on the cover! It’s a gorgeous cover with Reese looking very striking. It is an old photoshoot, though, from 2009, and I believe the photos inside are from last years Marie Claire US spread. Not sure whether the interview is new or not.
Check out the cover by clicking the thumbnail above, and I’ll be adding scans to our Gallery asap.
This is a nice surprise for Reese fans – Reese is gracing the cover of the new October issue of US Marie Claire! Looking gorgeous doing so, of course. The magazine features a new photoshoot and interview, which talks about her recent work for Avon and her marriage. The magazine hits newstands in North America on September 20th (just under 2 weeks from now), so pick up a copy if you can!
MarieClaire.com have posted the article and photos at their site, and you can view them there, or read the article further down this post and find the pics in our Gallery. Scroll down this post for a behind the scenes video from the new photoshoot.
EDIT: Screencaps from the behind the scenes video have now been added to the Gallery! Thanks to Marica for grabbing the vid for us.

Reese Witherspoon To Receive MTV Movie Awards’ Generation Award
There’s no question that Reese Witherspoon has had a wide-ranging and accomplished movie career, and at Sunday’s 2011 MTV Movie Awards, the Oscar- and Golden Globe-winning actress will add one more award to her already-crowded mantle. Witherspoon will receive this year’s Generation Award, previously bestowed upon superstars like Adam Sandler and last year’s recipient Sandra Bullock.
“Reese Witherspoon is one of the most versatile and accomplished performers of her time,” MTV President Stephen Friedman said in a statement. “Our viewers admire her for taking risks and for the breathtaking range of her roles. She fearlessly moves between dramas and comedies and always leaves everyone guessing what she’ll do next. We are thrilled to honor Reese with this year’s ‘MTV Generation Award.’ ”
With a résumé already filled with comedies like “Legally Blonde” and “Election” and more serious roles in films like “Walk the Line,” “Cruel Intentions,” “Pleasantville” and “Water for Elephants,” the actress has proven that there’s no role she can’t handle. Her Southern charm and girl-next-door looks have enchanted audiences during her two-decades-long career, going from child star to full-fledged A-lister. She’s starred alongside everyone from Robert Pattinson, Joaquin Phoenix, Ryan Phillippe, Jake Gyllenhaal, Owen Wilson and Luke Wilson, as well as Tobey Maguire and Vince Vaughn, to name just a few.
This certainly isn’t Witherspoon’s first Golden Popcorn. She previously won Best Comedic Performance in 2002 for “Legally Blonde” and was nominated for Best Female Performance, Best Dressed and Best Line for her star-making turn as Elle Woods. In 2003, she was nominated for Best Female Performance for “Sweet Home Alabama” and was up for Best Performance for “Walk the Line” back in 2006.
The 20th annual MTV Movie Awards air live Sunday, June 5, at 9 p.m. ET/PT, with “SNL” actor Jason Sudeikis set to host the show, taking place in Universal City, California, at the Gibson Amphitheatre.

As expected, Reese is on the cover of the May issue of US Vogue! She’s wearing Roland Mouret, and is looking stunning – I can’t wait to see the photos inside! Below is a low quality preview of the cover, and I’ll post further coverage (quotes, photos, scans etc.) as it pops up online.
If anyone can provide Glamour Reese with scans then you know what to do … and you know we’ll love you for it 😉
First of all, sorry for the lack of updates here in the last week – I’ve been having computer problems and have been unable to properly update here. Everything seems to be fixed now, so updates will resume! And it’s a busy few weeks ahead for Reese.
People and the UK edition of Hello both have Reese’s wedding on the cover of their current issues. Reese has sold two official photos from her wedding to these magazines – one very romantic shot of her and Jim, and a separate photo of just Reese. Inside the magazines are various ‘sources’ talking about the wedding, although (based on what I read in Hello), there is no official quote from Reese or Jim. Reese looks stunning, and I’m so happy for her!
Below are the covers, plus an snippet article from People.com. If anyone can provide scans from either People and/or Hello, then please get in touch!
Reese Witherspoon’s Wedding Photos
Reese Witherspoon’s country-elegant March 26 wedding to Pennsylvania native Jim Toth, 40, mixed her Southern roots with inspiration from her 1920s ranch estate.
“Timeless California architecture, rustic materials and beautiful gardens,” says a pal, gave the actress the perfect storybook setting for her special day in Ojai, Calif.
Wearing a custom-designed Monique Lhuillier blush-hued gown with a Chantilly lace corset bodice and full tulle A-line skirt, Witherspoon, 35, “wowed,” says a guest. “She took your breath away.”
The gown was adorned with a double-face silk satin ribbon with cascading silk flowers, which matched the dress of Witherspoon’s daughter Ava, 11, who served as maid of honor in her own custom Lhuillier.
The bride changed into a second Lhuillier design – a white silk minidress with a party skirt – for the reception.
“There was a real family feel,” a guest tells PEOPLE of the country-chic wedding planned by event planner Yifat Oren. “There was so much joy in the room and a lot of laughter,” adds another.
