Tom Hardy & Chris Pine Fight Over Reese Witherspoon In ‘This Means War’
Tom Hardy, Reese Witherspoon and Chris Pine chat with Access about doing their own stunts in their new movie, “This Means War.” Also, the trio answers questions about who’s the better kisser, who flubs the most lines and more.
Another press interview for This Means War. I think The Insider will also air an interview with the cast on their TV show tomorrow.
Reese, Chris & Tom Lock Lips for ‘War’ February 06, 2012
Reese Witherspoon, Chris Pine and Tom Hardy form an explosive love triangle in This Means War, the new action-comedy from director McG (Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle, Terminator Salvation), and the three stars tell The Insider’s Brooke Anderson what it was like to lock lips and shed their clothes for the sake of the movie!
In theaters Valentine’s Day, This Means War finds dangerous CIA operatives Chris and Tom, inseparable partners and best friends, falling independently for Reese. But when they discover that they’re vying for the affections of same girl, all bets are off – and may the best man win!
Reese Witherspoon plays a woman trying to choose between the serious-but-sexy Tom Hardy and the sweet-but-slick Chris Pine in the upcoming This Means War. Picking between the two leading men might sound like a tough task, but Reese said she welcomed the challenge the role presented when we talked with the trio at a recent press day for the project. During our chat, Reese revealed the surprising — if scary — risk one guy took to try and win her over in real life, while Chris admitted to feeling some nerves over his onscreen fistfight with Tom, who has a pretty impressive mixed martial arts background. Check out our interview with the costars and check out This Means War when it hits theaters on Valentine’s Day!
Locking lips with leading men like Chris Pine and Tom Hardy is just a typical day at the office for Reese Witherspoon.
Access Hollywood caught up with the “This Means War” star on Friday and got the dirt on which of her handsome co-stars is a better kisser.
“I would say [who], but then someone would cry,” Reese told Access at the “This Means War” junket in Los Angeles on Friday, while sitting between Chris and Tom. “Then the other person would be like, just proud and rude.”
After a bit of coercing, Reese finally chose the “Star Trek” hunk as the winner of the lip-lock battle.
“OK… Chris,” the 35-year-old said.
“Aww, man!” Chris said with a laugh. Thanks! “
“I can vouch for that!” Tom — who will next be seen on the big screen as super villain Bane in “The Dark Knight Rises” — jokingly added.
Catch Reese, Chris and Tom – along with Chelsea Handler – when “This Means War” hit theaters on Valentine’s Day.
Here is Reese’s official press interview for This Means War. If you’re interested in watching the other cast members official interviews, then have a look further down this post.
Reese appeared on the Graham Norton Show just over an hour ago, and it was a brilliant interview! Reese was, if possible, more hilarious and quick witted than usual. I’m hoping to be able to post at least screencaptures from the full interview for you this weekend, and if we’re lucky a video. For now, though, here are some clips posted by the BBC on YouTube:
Reese Witherspoon, Chris Pine and Tom Hardy form a hilariously dangerous love triangle in their new action-comedy This Means War, and they’re sharing some laughs about their new spy vs. spy movie with ET special guest correspondent Katherine Schwarzenegger.
So, who is the better kisser? “Obviously I am,” brags Tom. “I just answered that, and we’ll move on to the next [question]. There’s no argument.”
“Yeah, let’s get on with it, I don’t want to fight it,” smiles Chris.
As for prepping for those kissing scenes, Tom advises, “Altoids. You gotta have an Altoid. That’s the standard form, yeah.”
“I thought it was tuna sandwiches,” replies Reese.
“That’s like an immediate pre-game [strategy],” jests Chris. “Egg salad, onions.”
