As anticipated, Reese made an appearance at Apple’s big new product launch event in California today! She was joined by her co-stars Jennifer Aniston and Steve Carell to tease their upcoming show for the brand – now officially titled “The Morning Show“!
Reese said that the show “pulls back the curtain on the power dynamics between men and women in the high stakes world of morning news shows. It’s a real insiders view into the lives of the people who help America wake up every day”. It’s “seen through the eyes of two ambitious, aspirational female characters,” she says – and a “prominent male” Steve Carell adds. Steve Carell said that he was “happy to provide the manliness”! Jennifer added that it’s an “honest look at the complex relationships between women and men in the workplace, and we engage in the conversation people are a little too afraid to have unless they are behind closed doors”. Reese describes it as being a “high velocity thrill ride in which we pose questions without easy answers”.
The show will premiere on Apple’s new TV streaming service – AppleTV+ – which they say will be launching later in the year. No date for the start of The Morning Show just yet though. You can re-watch the whole event in HD and read more about their new AppleTV+ service at Apple.com.
We’ve added the first photos to our Gallery, and will have more coverage for you during the week…
Entertainment Weekly have given us the gift we always knew we needed – a Cruel Intentions reunion! The cast and crew sat down with the magazine to revisit the film for it’s 20th anniversary, and it makes a fantastic read!! Find the article text below, and we have scans in our Gallery:
Cruel Intentions cast spills all the details on making the seductive teen drama
Welcome back to Manchester Prep. In 1999, audiences gaped (and gasped) as Hollywood’s teen royalty engaged in sexual debauchery and 1-percenter power games in Roger Kumble’s erotic, darkly comedic modern classic, which returns to theaters Friday [22nd March] in honor of its 20th anniversary.
Here, in an EW exclusive, the filmmakers and cast members revisit the original tale of gossip girls and pretty little liars.
The Beginnings
After watching 1996’s coming-of-age black comedy Welcome to the Dollhouse, playwright Roger Kumble felt inspired to pen a dark story centered on a young cast. So he took the soulless aristocrats of the 18th-century French novel Les Liaisons Dangereuses and reimagined them as depraved upper-class Manhattan teens.
ROGER KUMBLE (writer-director): It’s just a great story. It’s got drama and comedy and tragedy, and you can’t do that so often these days. Movies have to fit in a box. You don’t know where to put Cruel Intentions in the aisle, you know?
Over the past few weeks we’ve been continuing to work on the Movies section of the Gallery, and today the A Wrinkle In Time category has been updated and completed! Lots of high quality posters have been added, along with HD screencaptures from various featurettes. Although not one of my favourite movies of Reese’s, there’s no denying the beautiful scenery, production, costumes and hair and make-up in the film.
Tons of other stills within the Movies section of the Gallery have been updated with high quality versions this weekend too – too many to list here, but ones we’re sure you’ll enjoy when you come across them!
And so the Movies section of the Gallery is now ‘complete’! Reese has such a fantastic filmography, and it’s been fun going through each movie and ensuring we have the most complete collection of photos to document her career. There’s still lots more to come in the Gallery – including TV appearance screencaptures and more from Reese’s advertising campaigns…
As part of our birthday celebrations this weekend, we’re updating the Gallery with some rare treats. In this batch, we have fabulous high quality out-takes from Reese’s 2018 portrait session for USA Today. These were taken in New York City last September, when Reese was promoting her book ‘Whiskey In A Teacup’. Reese looks super-chic and professional in her red jumpsuit and they’re a really great set of out-takes. Enjoy!
To celebrate Reese’s birthday today we’ve got a few batches of rare photos for you. The first of which is a rare high quality photo of Reese and her then-husband Ryan Phillippe at the opening of the Ghost Boutique in West Hollywood, way back in 1998. Reese was dressed in her signature colour – love the matching pink dress and earrings – and looked bright-eyed and fresh!
Way back in December when we had our Advent Calendar, I added these super-rare photos to the Gallery but forgot to post about them here!
Back in the spring of 2014, Reese attended a book signing party for Robin Berman’s book ‘Permission To Parent’. Reese provided praise for the book, saying that it “should be present in every delivery room”! Reese looked lovely in a little navy dress at the event, held in Pacific Palisades in California. Enjoy these previously unseen rare photos exclusively in our Gallery!
We’re almost there with completing the Films section of our Gallery. This weekend, the Home Again section has been updated – we’ve added international posters, screencaptures from the official promotional interview, and some fantastic new high quality stills! This is not one of my favourites in Reese’s filmography, but the pretty high quality stills and poster artwork are worth a browse:
