The Friends: The Reunion TV special premiered on Thursday, and as expected Reese was one of the ‘guest stars’. She wasn’t there in person unfortunately – she’d taped a short snippet talking about what she enjoyed about the show. Reese said one of the most exciting things for her on the show was Joey saying his iconic “how you doin'” line to her, and she also talked about her disbelief when she was offered the role of Jill Green, and how great each of the characters were individually as well as together. Her enthusiasm for the show was clear, and it was great seeing her take part in this special! The whole show is well worth a watch đ We haven’t been able to find a clip of Reese’s segment yet (we’ll keep looking) but Entertainment Tonight had a feature on the guest stars on the reunion, which includes a snippet from Reese. âFriendsâ Reunion Special at HBO Max to Premiere in May, Drops First Teaser
The long-delayed âFriendsâ reunion special at HBO Max will finally be there for you, with the streamer announcing the official premiere date.
âFriends: The Reunionâ will debut on HBO Max on May 27. In addition, HBO Max debuted the first teaser trailer for the special, which can be viewed above.
âFriends: The Reunionâ will now debut on the one year anniversary of the launch of HBO Max and exactly one year after it was originally supposed to air. However, the special was delayed multiple times due to the production shutdown caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. It was originally set to film in February 2020 but was only able to begin filming in April.
It will feature Friendsâ stars Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer as they return to the iconic comedyâs original soundstage, Stage 24, on the Warner Bros. Studio lot in Burbank for an celebration of the beloved show. Sources close to the project told Variety last year that each of the six stars would receive at least $2.5 million for participating in the special.
It will also feature guest stars including: David Beckham, Justin Bieber, BTS, James Corden, Cindy Crawford, Cara Delevingne, Lady Gaga, Elliott Gould, Kit Harington, Larry Hankin, Mindy Kaling, Thomas Lennon, Christina Pickles, Tom Selleck, James Michael Tyler, Maggie Wheeler, Reese Witherspoon and Malala Yousafzai.
A previously reported, Reese recently filmed a guest appearance on her friend Mindy Kaling’s show The Mindy Project. That episode is titled ‘Girl Gone Wild’, and is available to stream on Hulu from today! It’s a brief but sassy appearance, with some fun references to Reese’s movies … we won’t spoil the plot anymore for you! It’s no shocker that Reese Witherspoon is a southern girl through and through. The actress has never been shy about discussing her Southern belle upbringing, and when E! News’ Jason Kennedy spoke with her at the Home Again premiere, she shared a fun fact about her first premiere in Los Angeles.
“You know what’s crazy, my first premiere was here in this building, right there,” she revealed. “I was 14 years old and I wore cowboy boots.” Not the typical red carpet glam you’d expect, but Reese had her reasons. “Well, I was from Nashville,” the actress shared.
Last night Reese attended the Los Angeles premiere of her new romantic comedy Home Again. She walked the red carpet with her daughter Ava, and posed with her director Hallie Meyers-Shyer, producer Nancy Meyers, and co-stars Lake Bell, Lola Flanery, Jon Rudnitsky, and Eden Grace Redfield. Reese wore a simple but striking red dress by Roland Mouret, with Christian Louboutin shoes. On the red carpet Reese chatted about what attracted her to the role, why she loves romantic comedies, her daughter Ava, her Emmy nomination, and her upcoming project with Jennifer Aniston. Reese looks so beautiful, and I love seeing her and Ava together!
