Reese attended a photocall for The Morning Show season 2 in Los Angeles last month, just prior to its release on our screens. She posed with some of her co-stars including Julianna Margulies. Reese looked stunning in a smart outfit by Rich Fresh, with Louboutin shoes – I wasn’t sure about this look at first but the more I see it the more I love it, it’s so different for Reese!

Reese and Jennifer Aniston promoted The Morning Show (known in Australia as Morning Wars) on Aussie morning show Today on September 13th. Unfortunately we’ve only found a short clip so far, but we’ll keep looking for the full interview:
‘Morning Wars’ stars send cheeky message to A-list actor
Morning Wars stars Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon have sent a message to Hollywood star George Clooney.
They want him on their show.
The call-out came as the pair discussed the second season of their hit show, which revolves around a fictional morning show, with entertainment presenter Brooke Boney.
Brooke, while a fan of the show, said they were in need of an entertainment presenter.
Witherspoon then shot George Clooney’s name into the rink as a potential co-star.
“I think we should do something to get George Clooney on this show, like what are we waiting for?” she said.
Reese and Jennifer Aniston appeared on Aussie talk show The Project on September 12th whilst promoting The Morning Show season 2. Reese appeared on Good Morning America on September 15th to promote The Morning Show. She chatted about Legally Blonde‘s 20th anniversary, where season 2 of The Morning Show picks up, TikTok, her kids going back to school, and the success and sale of Hello Sunshine.
Reese and Jennifer Aniston kicked off their talk show promotional tour for The Morning Show on The One Show in the UK on September 8th. They talked about re-working season 2 following the COVID pandemic, Reese being a morning person, and working together on Friends. The New York Times published a new interview with Reese and Jennifer Aniston last week, to promote The Morning Show. The two talk about how they incorporated COVID and changes in the workplace relating to sexual harrassment into season 2. Reese and Jennifer were also photographed for the magazine. ‘The Morning Show’ Remakes Itself. Again. The topical news drama, which reoriented its first season in response to the #MeToo movement, was forced by the pandemic to rewrite Season 2 as well.
The second season of “The Morning Show,” the starry Apple TV+ series about a “Good Morning America”-style talk show, was six weeks into filming in March 2020 when everything suddenly stopped cold.
“It was a Wednesday night, and we were discussing a scene that I had to shoot the next day,” recalled Jennifer Aniston, who plays one of the co-anchors of the fictional show-within-the-show and is also an executive producer of the series. “We were getting emails saying that this big company and that big company were shutting down. And then we hear that Tom and Rita got sick” — that would be Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, who contracted Covid early in the pandemic — “and all of a sudden the world is caving in on us.”
The production shut down March 11, the cast and crew scattered and the producers pondered how the show could go ahead. And when they returned (remotely) and decided to rework the season, their most immediate challenge was how to incorporate coronavirus into the story line, when the pandemic had just begun and no one knew how it would play out.
This mirrored, in fact, what happened during the first season, when events in the world — in that case, the ructions over the #MeToo movement — overtook what had been the script.
“The Morning Show,” introduced to great fanfare as the marquee program on the new Apple TV+ streaming service in 2019, was loosely inspired by Brian Stelter’s nonfiction book “Top of the Morning,” about the cutthroat politics of morning television. But while at first it was concerned mostly with the infighting between Alex Levy (Aniston) and her co-anchor Bradley Jackson (Reese Witherspoon), it revamped itself with broader ambitions that reflected the changes wrought by #MeToo.
