Sandra Bullock was Hollywood’s best-paid actress over the past year ahead of Reese Witherspoon and Cameron Diaz, according to Forbes.
Bullock earned $56 million between June 2009 and June 2010, driven by income from “The Proposal” and “The Blind Side,” it said. “Despite everything that’s gone wrong personally for Sandra Bullock, financially she’s been on fire,” Forbes wrote.
Witherspoon and Diaz each made about $32 million. They are followed by Jennifer Aniston with a $27 million haul, according to Forbes. Sarah Jessica Parker ranks fifth on its list with $25 million.
To figure out actresses’ earnings, Forbes talked to agents, managers, producers and lawyers. It also looked at money that stars might have earned from perfume/clothing lines and from ad campaigns.

Woody Allen has nominated Cate Blanchett and Reese Witherspoon as two actresses he’d be keen to work with in the future.
‘These are two actresses that I would like to work with, because I think they’re both very talented,’ Allen said.
‘But I don’t know them. I’ve never had the opportunity to speak with them.’
Allen was in Cannes where his latest tale You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger premiered on Saturday.
He missed Blanchett by only a couple of days: she was at Cannes on Thursday for Robin Hood, in which she stars with Russell Crowe.
Allen’s new film features Naomi Watts, Anthony Hopkins, Antonio Banderas, Josh Brolin, Gemma Jones and Freida Pinto.
She’s an Oscar-winning actress and one of Hollywood’s hottest stars — but even Reese Witherspoon’s children, 9-year-old daughter Ava & 6-year-old-son Deacon, are surprisingly “embarrassed” of their uber-famous mom.
“My children are embarrassed at me all the time. They’re like ‘mom you’re being really stupid’,”Witherspoon told us in a recent interview. “When ‘Monsters vs. Aliens’ came out Ava told me I’m the coolest mom in the third grade. I said ‘can you put it on a piece of paper and sign it for me please’. I was cool once.”
And as cool and yet hot as the majority of men (and women) think Witherspoon is, she won’t be baring too much for the lights and camera.
“I had my first baby when I was 23, so for me, no. I’ve always been choosing roles knowing that I have a daughter and I have a responsibility to her and to the world to be representing women of strength,” the 33-year-old added. “These are the women I know in life. I think it’s a natural extension of parenthood for you to feel like you’re responsible for the worlds you create, whether they be silly or serious. I think you are responsible for the art you put in the world.”
While these are certainly inspiring words of wisdom, don’t be fooled — this mama was more than happy to embrace her childhood habits while lending her voice to “Monsters vs. Aliens”.
“It’s definitely not hard. It’s like you go in and it’s about how imaginative you can be. For me, that’s just a fantastic opportunity to be free and act like a 5-year-old,” Witherspoon added. “We just go in the sound booth and be silly and eat candy and drink caffeine and bounce off the walls. The older I get the more I regress. I really have just become very silly.”
