Reese made an appearance at the Producers Guild Awards last night. She skipped the red carpet but was on hand during the ceremony to present the Darryl F. Zanuck Award for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures to the producers of 1917.
Reese and her Big Little Lies co-producers were nominated for their show but sadly lost out to Succession. Reese was spotted with her friend/co-star/co-executive producer Nicole Kidman during the show though!
We have a few photos from the event in the Gallery:
Reese attended the Television Critics Association Winter Tour on Friday, to preview her upcoming Hulu series Little Fires Everywhere. Reese’s co-star/co-executive producer Kerry Washington, and writer and co-executive producer Liz Tigelaar joined her for the panel. They talked about developing roles for women, the complexity of the characters and storylines, and how producing their own projects opens up more opportunities for them. Reese wore a chic black outfit by Michael Kors for the panel.
Witherspoon, Washington team in front of and behind camera
Tired of others influencing her career choices, Reese Witherspoon launched her own production company eight years ago. She has been calling the shots on both sides of the camera ever since, often in collaboration with other high-profile actresses.
“I didn’t see a place to exist within the industry that we had,” she said. “There just wasn’t a spectrum of storytelling for women that I felt like was representative of the world that we walk through.”
Her company Hello Sunshine generates most of what Witherspoon does when she isn’t working with streaming services like Hulu. Starting in March, it airs “Little Fires Everywhere,” based on Celeste Ng’s 2017 bestseller, with Witherspoon and Kerry Washington playing mothers living in Ohio in the late 1990s. Both women were executive producers as well.
Reese attended the New York Film Critics Circle Awards on Tuesday night, in New York City. She was on hand to present her friend and co-star Laura Dern with the award for Best Supporting Actress (for both Little Women and Marriage Story), and posed on the red carpet with Laura too. Reese wore a black and white floral dress by Andrew Gn, with jewellery by Chopard and YSL heels. We have the first photos in our Gallery for you:
Reese attended the Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills last night! Reese was nominated as a producer for Best Television Series – Drama for both Big Little Lies and The Morning Show – unfortunately she went home empty-handed (neither show won any awards), but this seems insignificant given the incredible year she’s had! Her power as a producer was highlighted by entertainment interviewers on the red carpet, and it was just fantastic to see this, and to hear Reese talking so proudly about her work. Be sure to watch the red carpet video interviews further down this post. On the red carpet, Reese re-united with her Big Little Lies co-stars Nicole Kidman and Shailene Woodley, her Walk The Line/Inherent Vice co-star Joaquin Phoenix (), and her friend and hopeful future co-star Charlize Theron. Reese and her The Morning Show co-star Jennifer Aniston presented the first two awards of the night for TV Comedy Actor and TV Movie/Limited Series Actor. Reese looked gorgeous in a white custom Roland Mouret gown, with Tiffany & Co. jewellery, Louboutin heels and a Jimmy Choo purse.

Reese attended the CMA Awards in Nashville on Wednesday night! After posing on the red carpet, Reese presented the CMA Award for Entertainer of the Year to Garth Brooks, then hung out with Nicole Kidman, Halsey, Gigi Hadid, Kacey Musgraves and Sheryl Crow during the show. Reese sparkled in a gorgeous one-shouldered little black dress from Atelier Versace, with Louboutin heels, Nikos Koulis earrings, and Martin Katz jewellery. Photos can be found in the Gallery:
With the awards season coming up, Reese and Nicole Kidman have been doing some more promotion for Big Little Lies! They took part in a SAG-AFTRA Foundation Conversation together on Monday, and you can watch the interview below – it’s a treat!
Earlier in the week Reese attended the premiere of Truth Be Told, a new AppleTV+ drama series that she produced through Hello Sunshine. Reese posed with her co-executive producer Lauren Neustadter, and star and co-executive producer Octavia Spencer on the red carpet. She looked chic in a black suit and sleek hair. Find lots of high quality photos in our Gallery!
The limited drama series follows podcaster Poppy Parnell (Octavia Spencer) as she is compelled to reopen the murder case that made her a national sensation and comes face-to-face with Warren Cave (Aaron Paul), the man she may have mistakenly helped to put behind bars. Based on the novel by Kathleen Barber, “Truth Be Told” provides a unique glimpse into America’s obsession with true crime podcasts and challenges its viewers to consider the consequences when the pursuit of justice is placed on a public stage.
Beginning December 6, the first three episodes of “Truth Be Told” will be available to watch on Apple TV+ in over 100 countries and regions around the world. New episodes will continue to roll out weekly, every Friday.
