As expected, Reese appeared on the Stand Up To Cancer telecast this weekend – it aired yesterday, but was probably filmed on Friday (?). Reese opened the telecast talking about the impact of cancer and how the past 18 months have taught us not to take things for granted, as well as how the organisation started through “collaboration not competition”. Watch the telecast below, and find photos & screencaptures in our Gallery:
At the end of July Reese attended a Social Studies and Rent the Runway ‘The After Party Tour’ Dinner at the Urban Cowboy Public House in Nashville. Social Studies and Rent The Runway are both companies that allow you to rent out clothes and event items, respectively, and their ‘After Party Tour’ is a series of events to promote their brands and celebrate being able to get together after the restrictions of the global pandemic. Read more about the tour here and here. Reese was photographed with Social Studies Co-Founders Jessica Latham and Amy Griffin. Find a few photos in our Gallery:
Reese spoke (virtually) at the SalesForce Cloud100 summit on August 10th. She spoke about adapting her business and leadership during the pandemic.

The pandemic isn’t over, but the light is at the end of the tunnel. During this great reset — when the way people work and live is more fluid than ever before — figuring out how to navigate the digital and the “real” world seems to be on everyone’s mind. For many leaders, this shift is an opportunity to explore what they can do differently as the world begins to open up again.
To help explore this transition, we bring together three leaders from industries undergoing major change who are leaning into the shifting landscapes and pointing their respective industries towards the future. Reese Witherspoon of Hello Sunshine, Rachel Carlson of Guild Education, and Chris Comparato of Toast share the transformations they’ve made this year, the values they continue to carry, and how that informs the way they build and lead.
Reese attended the Oscars last night! For her first red carpet appearance since the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Reese looked incredible in a red Dior dress, with Bulgari jewellery, and Jimmy Choo heels. She was on hand to present the award for Best Animated Feature (to Soul) at the ‘main’ ceremony (they had hubs in different cities around the world for screenings) at Union Station in Los Angeles. We’ve run out of time today so have added the first handful of photos, but will be back with more in the coming days:
Reese appeared on Good Morning America this morning. It was billed as her having a “big announcement”, but it was nothing completely new – she spoke about her new Book Club app, as well as her dogs, how she’s managing quarantine, and working on Legally Blonde 3 with Mindy Kaling. Watch the interview below:
Mark Duplass, Jon Hamm, Eddie Huang, Gillian Jacobs, Marc Maron, Kevin Murphy, Michaela Watkins, Kerry Washington and Reese Witherspoon joined the American Cinematheque for a retrospective conversation on Lynn Shelton’s television career with Jim Hemphill on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at 7:00 PM PDT.
CBS Sunday Morning had a profile on Reese and Hello Sunshine on their show yesterday, with a new interview with Reese and her fellow company executives Sarah Harden and Lauren Neustadter. She talked about how her career as a producer has developed, betting on herself, and adapting media for the current coronavirus pandemic.
Reese Witherspoon is not just an Oscar-winning actress; she is also a major Hollywood influencer. Her media company, Hello Sunshine, has been behind stories that put a female perspective front-and-center, such as the TV series “Big Little Lies” and “Little Fires Everywhere.” Correspondent Rita Braver talks with Witherspoon and Hello Sunshine executives Sarah Harden and Lauren Neustadter about their philosophy, and how the coronavirus pandemic is affecting production.
