I sat down with Reese Witherspoon in 1999 on the press tour for “Cruel Intentions.” We talked about why they reshot part of the movie’s big ending, as well as how good she is at reading people’s intentions. We also discussed the shooting difficulties of a big pool scene and how the success of another youth-oriented film might have helped in getting this movie the green light.
