‘Morning Wars’ stars send cheeky message to A-list actor
Morning Wars stars Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon have sent a message to Hollywood star George Clooney.
They want him on their show.
The call-out came as the pair discussed the second season of their hit show, which revolves around a fictional morning show, with entertainment presenter Brooke Boney.
Brooke, while a fan of the show, said they were in need of an entertainment presenter.
Witherspoon then shot George Clooney’s name into the rink as a potential co-star.
“I think we should do something to get George Clooney on this show, like what are we waiting for?” she said.
Aniston responded, “he’s in Italy”.
“Well it’s not working for me,” Witherspoon said.
“It’s not working for me either. Because guess what? We need to get him on the show,” she said.
“And I think that is what next year’s season is going to be about”.
Brooke then had an idea.
“I’ve also got an idea. The entertainment reporter unites the team, somehow solves the pandemic crisis, maybe closes the gender pay gap as well and then, you know, just has a nice day,” she said.
With a smile Reece said, “Maybe has a date with George Clooney?”.
Brooke said she was OK with that.
“This is the greatest interview ever,” Aniston said.
Aniston said fans of the show can expect a bumpy ride in season two.
The series will not only deal with the aftermath of sexual assault claims that rocked the fictional set, but also COVID-19.
“You got coming some twists and turns that you do not expect,” she said.
“We are dealing with the aftermath of what first season ended with. The disruption of that network.
“Also COVID is just around the corner. How do they deal with that as well as the potential demise of this huge corporation?”
Morning Wars season two premiers this Friday on Apple TV Plus.
