Continuing our run of updating and finishing the Public Appearances section of our Gallery, 2011 is now complete! 2011 was a busy year for Reese, as she promoted Water For Elephants around the globe. She also received the MTV Generation Award at the MTV Movie Awards and continued her work with Avon. I love her 60’s-inspired look at the Oscars (and seeing her with her American Psycho co-star Christian Bale again!), but her Water For Elephants New York Premiere look is possibly my all-time favourite look of hers – her dress, make-up and hair are just perfect for her!! I think Reese’s highlight of the year was meeting Kate Middleton at the Tusk Trust Reception, as she has spoken enthusiastically about her admiration for the Duchess. Some of our photos from this year have been replaced with HQ versions, and there are also plenty of new shots in there too.

Reese Witherspoon Didn’t See Herself in Scripts…So She Found New Ones
After snapping up the rights to the books Gone Girl and Wild, and turning both into hit films complete with Oscar nominations, Reese Witherspoon has become, per the Wall Street Journal, an influential literary tastemaker in Hollywood.
“I started looking to books as source material because I saw the movies that were coming down the pipeline, and the characters that women were playing were really lackluster,” Witherspoon told ELLE.com on Friday (April 15th) at the Tiffany Blue Book gala, where she sported a $10 million diamond necklace from the collection. “I love stories; I love complex, dynamic women who aren’t necessarily likable, but they actually have so many different dimensions. And I think that’s how women really are, and I think that’s how they want to see themselves represented on screen.”
Witherspoon, who just turned 40, celebrated with a star-studded party where she sang “Sweet Home Alabama” accompanied by Keith Urban on guitar, and Taylor Swift also performed.
“I’m in a really great place,” she says of the milestone. “I’m thrilled to be doing what I do, which is tell stories in this world, and starting a new business, which is a great challenge for me, but it’s also incredibly exciting,” she said, referring to her production company with partner Bruna Papandrea. “I’m working with great women whom I love and respect; Nicole Kidman, Laura Dern, Shailene Woodley, Zoë Kravitz.” That project is Big Little Lies, a series Witherspoon is also producing for HBO, based on Liane Moriarty’s novel of the same name. “I’m having great time! I mean, I have to say, this 40 thing is not so bad!”

TIFFANY DEBUTS 2016 BLUE BOOK COLLECTION
Gala celebrates more than two hundred breathtaking pieces of high jewelry
Tiffany & Co. tonight hosted a gala celebrating the debut of its 2016 Blue Book Collection, featuring the world’s most magnificent jewels. Inspired by design director Francesca Amfitheatrof’s theme for the collection—The Art of Transformation—the gala was held at the Cunard Building, an ornate Italian neo-Renaissance landmark in lower Manhattan.
In these sumptuous surroundings, approximately 300 guests and celebrities from around the world including Reese Witherspoon, Diane Kruger, Jessica Biel, Naomi Watts and Eve Hewson embarked upon an evening transformed by a kaleidoscope of color, music and dance. The interior was adorned with floating silver spheres inspired by a bib necklace of more than 3,000 diamonds from the 2016 Blue Book Collection. There was no mistaking the opulence of the evening or the collection it intended to celebrate.

Last month, it was revealed Hollywood superstar Reese Witherspoon would be coming to Australia for her first ever speaking tour.
And Jacqueline Nagle, the Queensland mother who persuaded Reese to travel Down Under, told Sunrise on Wednesday why the Legally Blonde star was chosen to headline her $2,000-a-head event for women in leadership, titled the Simpatico Conference Series.
‘What I wanted was somebody who brings everything to the table,’ Jacqueline said of the 40-year-old actress-turned-producer, who will serve as keynote speaker for the events scheduled for Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne in July.
Sunrise co-host Samantha Armytage asked how she expected an Oscar-winning star like Reese to ‘be inspirational to the average, everyday working Aussie woman.’
Jacqueline, who’s career has spanned several industries, replied: ‘If I just wanted a Hollywood superstar, there are hundreds we could have chosen.
‘But what I wanted was someone who brings everything to the table. So it’s about being an Oscar- winning actress, absolutely.
‘But it’s also about the fact she has her own production company, she has her own retail business, she is a working mum.

Reese Witherspoon Gushes About Her Children: My Daughter Ava Is ‘So Much Cooler Than I Am’
An adoring mom! Reese Witherspoon opened up about her three children at the Tiffany & Co. 2016 Blue Book Event in New York City on Friday, April 15.
The Wild star, 40, couldn’t help but gush to Us Weekly about her eldest daughter, Ava Phillippe, 16, who recently dyed her hair pastel-pink before attending the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival this weekend.
“She’s so much cooler than I am!” Witherspoon told Us, laughing. “She’s very cutting-edge, and she knows a lot about fashion, and she has her own sense of style, which is amazing.”
The Oscar winner also noted that she often finds herself going to her mini-me daughter for fashion advice.
“We try to kind of confer about new styles,” she explained. “She tells me whether or not I can wear things.”
Witherspoon, who is also the mom of sons Deacon, 12, and Tennessee, 3, quipped that she feels mommy guilt “every day, all day long,” adding, “Every time I travel, it’s very hard.”
The actress even raved about her husband, Jim Toth, who she celebrated her fifth anniversary with last month.
“I think what’s great about he and I is we’re both the heads of our family and we share everything — the responsibilities and the highs and the lows together,” she told Us. “It’s really beautiful to be on that journey with someone that you truly love and who truly respects you.”
Toth, 45, and Witherspoon are currently teaching their “sweet” son, Tennessee, how to read — and they’ve had some help from the toddler’s older siblings!
“He’s learning to read,” the Walk the Line star explained. “And that’s a really great thing, to have my older kids teaching my younger children how to read. Incredible memories that we’re making.”
