Back in March, Reese attended The Hollywood Reporter and Jimmy Choo’s Stylists Luncheon in honour of Hollywood’s top stylists. Reese was there to support her stylist Leslie Fremar (who topped THR’s list this year), and she wore a shirt with a navy jumper and jeans. I have only just come across photos from the event, and have now added them to the Gallery for you……
THR, Jimmy Choo Host 2nd Annual 25 Most Powerful Stylists Luncheon
Hollywood’s top stylists gathered Wednesday in West Hollywood for a luncheon in their honor, hosted by The Hollywood Reporter and Jimmy Choo.
The second annual event was in celebration of THR’s stylists issue, ranking the industry’s top 25 most powerful stylists based on the past year of red-carpet influence and – what else? – their attention-grabbing A-list clientele. Among those in attendance were stylists Leslie Fremar, who tops this year’s list, Jeanann Williams, Tara Swennen, Samantha McMillen, Petra Flannery, Ilaria Urbinati, Mariel Haenn and Rob Zangardi, Elizabeth Stewart and Jessica Paster, along with celebrity clients including Naomi Watts, Zoe Saldana, Dianna Agron, Nina Dobrev, Abbie Cornish and Kaley Cuoco.
“To be her plus one is an honor,” Saldana told THR of her stylist, Flannery. “I would do anything for her because she would do anything for me.” (The actress, wearing Carven, joked with attendees that she had been “Petra-fied.”)
Guests sipped on Bellinis as they thumbed through the latest issue of THR, marveling at the four covers featuring Flannery and Saldana; Fremar and Julianne Moore; Haenn and Zangardi with Jennifer Lopez; and Joseph Cassell with Taylor Swift.
“I wore a dress on the cover and that was very much a stretch for me,” said Flannery with a laugh. “I keep to a classic look – I’m very much a pants person.” For this occasion, she chose black leather leggings by The Row and a Nina Ricci top.
Fremar chatted with client Reese Witherspoon, dining nearby, who complimented her stylist on her cover shot. “I like to blend in, so this cover’s not allowing me to do that,” Fremar, wearing a red Stella McCartney jacket and black pants by The Row, told THR. “My approach to life in general is I usually bring it down a few notches.”
Watts stood out at the event in a printed blue dress by Erdem, but confessed that she almost axed the option on the rack.
“I’m not great with too much busyness or prints because I’m small, but I really liked it and it’s a good fit,” she told THR, adding that stylist Williams “made fashion interesting” again. Before working with Williams, Watts confessed, “I wasn’t excited about fashion.”
