As posted about before, Reese was honoured with a Star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame yesterday, and I now have more coverage from the event for you! Reese looks her usual pretty and elegant self, wearing a Dolce & Gabbana dress from the Cruise 2011 collection, with red patent leather peep toe Jimmy Choo pumps and a gold and pave diamond bangle from Bochic. It’s really wonderful seeing her attend the event with her kids, and she made it a real family affair with her parents, brother, sister-in-law and nieces all accompanying her, alongside her boyfriend Jim Toth! Even making an appearance was her co-star from Legally Blonde, Bruiser Woods (well, it was probably a look-a-like 😉 )!

Oscar-winner Reese Witherspoon gets Hollywood star
Oscar-winner Reese Witherspoon has been saluted with a star on Hollywood Boulevard.

The “Walk the Line” actress unveiled her Hollywood Walk of Fame honor on Wednesday outside the W Hollywood Hotel. It’s the 2,425th star dedicated on the celebrated avenue.

The ceremony was designed to coincide with the Dec. 17 release of Witherspoon’s latest movie, “How Do You Know,” co-starring Paul Rudd and Owen Wilson, and written and directed by James L. Brooks.

In 2006, Witherspoon won the best-actress Academy Award for her portrayal of June Carter Cash in “Walk the Line.”

Her credits also include “Pleasantville,” ”Cruel Intentions,” ”Sweet Home Alabama” and “Legally Blonde.”

Reese Witherspoon Receives Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame
Oscar winner Reese Witherspoon received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Wednesday, and her entire family — including her kids, mom, dad, brother, sister-in-law and nieces — were on hand to watch her accept the honor.

Also attending the ceremony was Witherspoon’s Legally Blonde co-star Bruiser, the chihuahua. Witherspoon joked, “He’s a busy working dog but he managed to show up today.”

Witherspoon, told the crowd that just a few months ago, she was walking on Hollywood Boulevard with her kids, Eva and Deacon, and explaining to them the significance of the stars. She said they asked her if she had a star, and when she said no, they replied, “Well, they better hurry up while you’re still alive [and] you can still enjoy it!”

The 34-year-old star noted that she’s now in her 20th year of making movies, having gotten her start at the age of 14 as a young actress in Nashville, Tennessee. She said, “It feels like this incredible honor to have made it all the way from Nashville to Hollywood Boulevard.”

Witherspoon will next be seen in the romantic comedy How Do You Know, which is opening Dec. 17.

Reese Witherspoon gets Hollywood star
Oscar-winning actress Reese Witherspoon added another special honor to her resume Wednesday. She’s the latest star to be honored on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

It was a family affair for Witherspoon’s unveiling ceremony.

She was able to share in the celebration with her children Ava and Deacon, along with her parents.

“It’s really emotional,” Witherspoon said. “My mother was reminding me that this is my 20th year of making movies. I started when I was 14 years old growing up in Nashville, Tenn. It feels like an incredible honor to make it from Nashville to Hollywood Boulevard.”

James L. Brooks, who directed Witherspoon’s next movie, also attended and told the crowd she really does deserve the moniker “America’s Sweetheart.”

“That’s who she is to me,” Brooks said. “Yes, world-class actress and capable of dishonesty on the screen, and from what I’ve seen — no kidding — in life as well. She is a natural, on screen and off. Just naturally an amazing mother and daughter, and person and American citizen.”

Reese Witherspoon’s Star Shines on Walk of Fame
Reese Witherspoon joined the elite group of entertainers with a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Wednesday, and the Oscar winner told ET, “Never in 462 million years did I think this was going to happen to me. I thought I was going to live in Tennessee and be a doctor.”

Reese, whose new comedy ‘How Do You Know’ with Owen Wilson, Paul Rudd and Jack Nicholson opens in theaters December 17, acknowleged her good fortune and luck “to have been embraced by the community of Hollywood.”

“I’m just so lucky that I get the opportunity to do what I love every day,” she said. “It’s so nice to go to the movie theater and just escape for two hours and dream, and hopefully my films do that for people.”
