The first poster for Rendition has made is debut. You can check it out in the gallery. I have to say it’s pretty powerful, and I’m growing more and more excited to see this film.

Rendition is a thriller from director Gavin Hood. Witherspoon stars as the American wife of an Egyptian-born chemical engineer who disappears on a flight from South Africa to Washington. The woman desperately tries to track her husband down, while a CIA analyst (Jake Gyllenhaal) at a secret detention facility outside the U.S. is forced to question his assignment as he becomes party to the man’s unorthodox interrogation.

Hmm. The poster itself isn’t all that original – I’ve seen movie posters set up in a similar fashion before. However, I do love the way they’ve retouched the images – the color scheme is amazing, it gives it all a sort of desolate, barren atmosphere. I think Reese is actually the highlight of the poster – her expression is very touching and powerful. Looks promising! 😀

I didn’t think I would, but I might actually go see this film. Having read its synopsis it actually seems like it could be something I would like, or at least be intrigued by, and I have also of late developed a special fondness for Peter Saarsgard (I rewatched Garden State, one of my favorite films). :blush:
