I have changed the poll so be sure to vote for you favorite look from some of Reese’s most famous characters. You can now view the previous poll’s final results. I also added over 20 new icons to the fan archives, which feature one of Miss Witherspoon’s more edgy shoots for Flaunt magazine back from 2001.
Yay, Variety reports that Reese has signed on to star and produce a new movie, Midnight!
Universal Pictures will develop a remake of the 1939 comedy Midnight as a star vehicle for Reese Witherspoon scripted by Michael Arndt, who won the Oscar for Little Miss Sunshine.
Stuber/Parent partners Mary Parent and Scott Stuber will produce with Witherspoon and her Type A Films partner Jennifer Simpson. Arndt hatched the idea, which prompted the producers to team.
Midnight has “long been one of my favorite films, and it is easily one of the best comedies of the ’30s,” Arndt said. “Being given the chance to update the film with Reese in the lead is simply a dream come true.”
In the original, Claudette Colbert starred as a destitute young woman in Paris who becomes a pawn when a wealthy man tries to get rid of the gigolo wooing his wife. John Barrymore also starred in the film that was directed by Mitchell Leisen and written by Charles Brackett and Billy Wilder.
The original was released by Paramount but became U property when the studio bought the pre-1948 Par library.
Project will not be next for Witherspoon, who’s deciding between several films for her next slot. She’s repped by CAA and Management 360 and Arndt by Endeavor.
I have replaced with better quality and added new shots to some event albums dating back to 2005. Many of these include photos of Reese with her Walk the Line co-star Joaquin Phoenix. I think she’s wearing some of her most fabulous dresses in these events. Enjoy the eye candy!

Yahoo! has posted the following update concerning Reese and Ryan’s divorce:
Ryan Phillippe wants joint custody of his children with Reese Witherspoon.
Witherspoon filed for divorce on Nov. 8, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split, and she asked for physical custody of the acting couple’s two children — 7-year-old Ava and 3-year-old Deacon. In the Superior Court divorce petition, Witherspoon, 31, asked for visitation for Phillippe, 32, and “exclusive use of the family residence.”
In a response filed Tuesday, Phillippe also cited irreconcilable differences but asked for joint legal custody and physical custody of the children as well as visitation granted “to both parties, equally allocated.”
A telephone message left Thursday for Witherspoon publicist Nanci Ryder wasn’t immediately returned.
The documents filed with the court in November and this week do not list separate or community property, saying the nature of the assets has yet to be determined. Witherspoon’s petition requested that the court not grant any spousal support to Phillippe. There was no request for support in Phillippe’s petition.
Today I have added clips of two entertainment specials in the video archive – Style Star, which focuses on Reese’s classy style and The Directors – The Films of Robert Luketic, which is a special on the Legally Blonde director. Thanks to Mariana for encoding the Luketic special for us. Happy downloading! 🙂
I’ve updated the video archive with four clips of Reese’s 1998 movie, Overnight Delivery. While it remains one of her lesser seen roles, her performance as Ivy Miller is fabulous and classic! I’ve also updated its movie page with some fun quotes.
“Extra, extra! Read all about it! Kim can shake her pom-poms but she won’t go at it! Extraaa! Extraaa!”
