If you follow/read our Twitter, you’ll have seen my tweet about some big updates coming here this week! As you may know, it’s Oscar night this coming Sunday, and this year marks 5 years since our Reese won her Oscar for Walk The Line! So to celebrate this, we’re having a Walk The Line week here at Glamour Reese, which will consist of as many WTL-themed Gallery updates as I can fit in! I know we all adore this film, so I hope you’ll enjoy re-visiting some of our favourite photos relating to the movie.

So to start with, I’ve added 35 gorgeous HQs from the Walk The Line press conference, held way back in October 2005. Reese looks wonderful!

They have a preview of big 2011 films (WFE), a review of How Do You Know, and a fantastic new interview with Miss Reese! They also run down their favourite Reese roles – do you agree with them?!

Enjoy the scans, and please do not re-post them elsewhere online as they were scanned just for Glamour Reese!

February 10, 2011   •  Posted by Jess   •  Category: Role RumorsComments Off on The status of “The Pioneer Woman”

Last year it was reported that Reese would be fronting a new movie entitled The Pioneer Woman, and later that year a writer was attached. However, we’ve heard nothing more about it since then, and Ree Drummond, the author of the book the film is based on, says she hasn’t heard anything either:

Ree & Reese: Ree Drummond, whose blog,, led to the publication in 2009 of the best seller The Pioneer Woman Cooks, now has a best-selling memoir, The Pioneer Woman: Black Heels to Tractor Wheels — A Love Story. It lands at No. 20 [on USA TODAY’s Best-Selling Books list]. Drummond’s new book tells how she met and married her husband, Ladd. They live on a working ranch in Oklahoma with their four kids. Last year, Columbia Pictures said it had optioned The Pioneer Woman with Reese Witherspoon in mind to star. Drummond says she hasn’t heard anything since then. Is Witherspoon right for the part? Drummond says, “I’m kind of an Amazon woman compared to her, but I couldn’t be more pleased.”

A very low quality new individual poster of Reese as Marlena in Water For Elephants has just found it’s way online! The picture looks like it was taken by camera, and it’s very blurry, but you can still how gorgeous it is! Marlena is seen posing with the elephant ‘star’ of the film, Rosie.

I’ve also added another new poster, one that focusses on Robert Pattinson, but Reese and Christoph Waltz can be seen in the background (in what looks to be a new photo!).

Thanks to!

February 7, 2011   •  Posted by Jess   •  Category: Career, OtherComments Off on Reese Witherspoon: There’s more to life than work

Reese Witherspoon thinks it can be “dangerous” when movie stars don’t have hobbies.

The 34-year-old American actress is one of Hollywood’s most successful stars, having achieved critical acclaim for her roles in films varying from light-hearted comedies such as Legally Blonde to dramas including Walk the Line, the 2005 movie for which she won the best actress Oscar.

Reese takes her acting seriously, although is adamant her career will never rule her life. She has witnessed other A-list stars who have let jobs ruin their personal lives, and she has no plans to follow suit.

“I like to take classes, I read a lot – I have a lot of interests so your whole life isn’t just about making movies. That’s a dangerous place to be,” she asserted.

Reese admires Hollywood icons such as 61-year-old Meryl Streep, who has been nominated for an astounding 16 Academy Awards during her career, and has won two. However, the actress doesn’t intend on working quite as hard as Meryl, and counts spending time with her and ex-husband Ryan Phillippe’s two children; 11-year-old daughter Ava and seven-year-old son Deacon, as more important.

“As an actress, it would be lovely to think that we’re all Meryl Streep or Diane Keaton who just works endlessly but that’s not true,” she told Total Film.

“It’s important to cultivate a personal life that makes you just as happy as your professional life and I work really hard on that. I spend time with my kids and my girlfriends. It’s important to enrich yourself in lot of different ways.”
