Zappos.com’s quest to raise its apparel profile is getting some help from Hollywood. The online shoe destination has partnered with 20th Century Fox to create a scarf inspired by Marlena, the circus performer Reese Witherspoon plays in the movie “Water for Elephants,” which hits theaters on April 22. The $79 silk scarf marks the first time Zappos.com’s private label team has produced merchandise associated with a film in-house. “A scarf is one of the key pieces to her [Marlena’s] ensemble throughout the film, so we thought it was a great carryover,” said Tom Ellingson, an assistant manager of business development at Zappos.com.

ET recently showed some behind the scene footage from Water For Elephants, including a snippet of a new press interview with Reese! Watch it below:
Keen-eyed visitors will notice I added a new magazine alert to our sidebar earlier this week – Reese will be on the cover of the May issue of Elle UK! We now have a photo of the cover, which I believe is the subscribers edition cover – the newsstand cover will probably be different. It’s always great to see Reese embracing her sexy side, and I’m sure the photos inside will be even more beautiful. Accompanying the photos will be a new interview.
If anyone can provide Glamour Reese with scans then please get in touch! Unfortunately my scanner isnt working at the moment so I can’t scan this for us.
EDIT: Below the cover preview is a snippet of the interview.
Reese Witherspoon tied the knot with Ryan Phillippe in 1999 when she was 23. They have daughter Ava, 11, and seven-year-old son Deacon together, but got divorced in 2007. Last weekend Reese married Hollywood agent Jim Toth at a ceremony in California. The two are very happy together, but that doesn’t mean Reese regrets her first wedding. She is still friends with Ryan and says being with him enriched her life.
“Oh, I was so, so young. I was, like, ridiculously young. I learnt a lot, though. It was a good opportunity for me to really find out what it means to be a partner and to be in a marriage and it’s not anything that I thought it was,” she told the May edition of UK magazine Elle. “You can’t say, ‘I don’t want to talk about that.’ You just can’t. You’ve got to talk about it all.”
Reese, 35, is amazed she’s managed to find happiness again. She was thrilled when Jim proposed at the end of last year, revealing the moment completely took her breath away.
“It’s an exciting feeling. [Somebody saying], ‘You’re the one.’ And it’s a surprise. You know, I’m surprised when people who aren’t related to me see my movies,” she explained. “And you’re surprised somebody wants to be with you because, boy, I’ve got a lot of quirks and wrinkles.”
Reese feels “lucky” to be with Jim because she finds the whole dating process hard. Being with someone in the same industry has made things easier, and she admits feeling “happy” she no longer has to worry about finding someone.
The actress has a small group of friends she calls on when times are hard and lasting friendships are important to Reese. Her good pals are people who don’t care that she’s famous and have known her for a long time, so she can trust them.
“Friendships are work. You can only have a friend if you are a friend. You’ve got to be there. I really want to be the person who shows up for people when they need me,” she explained. “[My friends and I] tell each other everything. Stuff is hard to deal with, and we’ve gone through a lot together. I have an incredible support system.”
From US Weekly:
When Reese Witherspoon wed Jim Toth at her Ojai, Calif. ranch on Saturday evening, the couple was 90 miles north of Los Angeles — but the vibe of the night was a universe away from Hollywood glitz!
UsMagazine.com has brand-new details on the Oscar winner’s big-time nuptials.
In a courtyard in front of the Ojai house, the Monique Lhuillier-clad actress, 35, and CAA agent Toth, 40, exchanged vows and William Goldberg wedding bands beneath a canopy.
About 120 family members and friends– including Sean Penn, Scarlett Johansson, Renee Zellweger, Tobey Maguire and wife Jennifer Meyer, Robert Downey Jr., Matthew McConaughey and love Camila Alves, Alyssa Milano, Colin Hanks, Isla Fisher and hubby Sacha Baron Cohen– were on hand for the bash.
Reverend Jimmy Bartz, of the Santa Monica church regularly attended by the couple, officiated the 20-minute service, and Witherspoon’s children (with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe) Ava, 11, and Deacon, 7, participated in the ceremony.
Matron of honor duties went to Witherspoon’s best friend Heather Rosenfield, whose little boys served as ring bearers; the star’s nieces were flower girls.
In a fitting turn for the Southern-born actress, a bluegrass band played “Tennessee Waltz” as the processional music for Toth and the kids, segueing to “Here Comes the Bride” for Witherspoon’s walk, and playing “Will the Circle Be Unbroken” during the ceremony.
Immediately following the “I do” exchange, guests retreated to a one-hour cocktail party behind the house.
The special night’s theme? Rustic, farm-style, of course! (At her bucolic Ojai spread, Witherspoon gardens and keeps horses, donkeys, pigs, goats and chickens.) The outdoor decor included lanterns and chandeliers hanging from trees, mismatched antique chairs and distressed benches set throughout the property, a wood plank dance floor, antique leather sofas, jute rugs, wago wheels and Turkish textile pillows.
Different arrangements of white, blush and lavender flowers were set up on each table in mason jars, fish catcher lanterns and antique pots. And large moss-covered pots with lavender were set up all over the estate.
When it was time for dinner, guests sat down at long tables in a fabric-lined tent behind the house. On the menu, catered by L.A. eatery Lucques: endive salad with olives and fava beans; wild striped bass with? potatoes, chanterelles and garlic; mustard grilled chicken with haricort vert and herb roasted lamb with braised artichokes. For dessert? A grand wedding cake designed by Erica O’Brien, a separate table of sweet treats — and a s’mores lounge!
After the meal, guests boogied on the dance floor to DJ-spun tunes. When it was time to call it a night, revelers departed clutching gift bags with pecan currant scones from a local baker.
Says a pal of the couple, who began dating in January 2010: “They feel like they’ve hit the jackpot in this relationship!”
Water For Elephants promotion is slowly picking up, and this week Reese and Robert Pattinson are on the cover of Entertainment Weekly! It’s a brand new, and gorgeous, photoshoot, although unfortunately inside it’s mainly just an interview with Robert, not with Reese. I’ve added scans from the magazine to the Gallery, as well as some fantastic out-takes from the photoshoot! This 1920’s style really suits Reese. Make sure you pick up a copy of Entertainment Weekly if you can.
Water For Elephants is also featured in the current issue of US Weekly, and we have scans from that too.
A bunch of new Water For Elephants stills and set photos have popped up this week, so I’ve added them to the Gallery.
And now for some non-Water For Elephants related updates! I’ve added a bunch of various 2011 magazine scans, thanks to Mirik. And last but not least, I’ve come across a few more out-takes from Reese’s photoshoot for Entertainment Weekly back in December 2010, and you can enjoy them exclusively in our Gallery!
