Glamour Reese Witherspoon would like to wish all of our visitors, and Reese and her family, a very Merry Christmas! We hope your holidays are filled with lots of festive fun and joy 😀
If you’re looking for some Reese Witherspoon/Draper James style treats for your holiday season then be sure to browse through the Draper James website for a Southern themed holiday guide! Further down this post are a few Draper James holiday videos from earlier this month and last year.
It’s the start of a New Year, and time for us to look back on Reese’s dynamic 2016 and look forward to what she’ll be offering in 2017. On the surface 2016 was a relatively quiet year for Reese, but behind the scenes it seemed as if she’d been working in overdrive! She made a few red carpet and magazine cover appearances, but Reese’s 2016 seemed to have been focused on her Draper James company and developing strong roles for women in film through her production company Pacific Standard. 💛
The start of the year bought us Reese on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar, in a gorgeous, feminine new photoshoot and an interview in which she chatted to the magazine about Draper James and her career. She echoed similar sentiments about improving the image of women in film to Entertainment Weekly magazine, in a ‘beyond beautiful’ spread also including Kerry Washington, Eva Longoria, and Elizabeth Banks. The interview touched on topics from social media to their diverse careers, and the pretty but simplistic photoshoot complemented the meaningful nature of the interview.
Reese’s major public appearance at the start of the year was at the Oscars. She wore a gorgeous purple gown by Oscar de la Renta, with Jimmy Choo shoes and jewellry from Tiffany’s. Her husband accompanied her on the red carpet, and inside the ceremony she introduced clips from two of the Best Picture nominees with her friend Kate Winslet. Reese’s stylist Leslie Fremar explained the choices behind Reese’s dress: “Last week, it was lavender. We remade it in a darker purple because we thought it was really fresh and looked beautiful with her skin tone. The shape of the fan was really different and something I hadn’t seen before, and the black corset was really sexy. We didn’t want to compete with how beautiful, but simple, the dress was.”

Comments Off on **IMPORTANT** Glamour Reese going offline
Due to some unexpected issues with my host, Glamour Reese Witherspoon will be going offline for a period of time from this coming Monday. I hope that this will only be temporary until I can find adequate new hosting.
HOWEVER, the site will no longer be accessible through r-witherspoon.com. Instead, you will be able to find us through www.reese-witherspoon.org and www.reese-witherspoon.net. Please bookmark one of our new links. These addresses will forward to our Twitter page while the site is without a host.
You will be able to keep up-to-date with what’s going on with Glamour Reese via our Twitter account – @GlamourReese.
You can contact me while the site is offline through our Twitter page or email.
Please bear with us during this downtime!! Glamour Reese has been online for almost 14 years and I want it to continue for many more, it’s just going to take some time now to find a new home for us!!
I am very excited to finally have online our brand new layout! This was made for us by Mycah, with a finishing touch by the lovely Lindsey, using Reese’s exceptionally gorgeous photos for last year’s UK Glamour magazine. This new design feels super classy and ethereal, and I think it’s a nice constrast to the fun pink Legally Blonde layout we had before. I could just stare at these photos for hours. Make sure you refresh the page and/or visit other pages within this site because the header image will change each time the page loads.
You may also notice a new mini special feature on the sidebar – 11 Of The Best. This is to celebrate Glamour Reese Witherspoon’s whopping 11 years online (as of November 2012), and highlights some of my favourite Reese moments from the past 11 years. It took me a long time to whittle it down to just 11 😉
If you notice any errors then please let me know, but otherwise, please enjoy the new layout ^_^

Comments Off on Media section added & updated
After much hard work today, our Media section is now back up and running! I have re-added all pages, and added new media into them. New additions include AIM Icons, Bookmarks, Desktop Icons, Fan Signs, i-Backgrounds and Twitter backgrounds … pretty much every page in there. We also have some shiny new wallpapers kindly made and contributed to Glamour Reese by Larissa – thank you!
As I’ve mentioned before, our previous Fanarchive section was lost somewhere along the line when the site changed owners and hosts, so unfortunately all the media we housed in there was lost too. Which is such a shame, because I know it was packed full of your artwork!!
If anyone has any Reese media of any kind that they’d like to contribute and see displayed up here on Glamour Reese then please get in touch! We’d love to display your work, and would make sure you get a big fat credit for it 🙂

Comments Off on Media update – new banners and icons
Big thanks to our kind visitor Larissa for sending us some of her lovely banners and icons to use on this site! They have been added to their pages in the Media section. Our Media section needed a kick-start, so I am grateful to Larissa for helping out 🙂
Our entire media section was lost during the site’s change of owners/hosts a few years ago, so it is desperately in need of filling up again … if you’ve made any Reese media of any kind and would like to share it with us then please get in touch! We accept anything and everything 😀
To celebrate our 16 years online, here we are spotlighting 16 of our favourite Reese things from the past 16 years. You will see a new one upon refreshing or changing the page.
