As you might know, it is Reese’s birthday this coming Thursday (22nd), so I thought it would be nice to do something special to celebrate it this year. So I thought, and came up with an idea: over the next 5 days I will be putting together 5 special posts celebrating five of the reasons why we love Reese! The posts will be in no particular order, after all, Reese is so dynamic it’s hard to pinpoint the reason we love her most 😉 Just a collection of five of the things we think make her extra special.
You are more than welcome to post a comment on any of the entries and share with us why you love Reese, tell us your five reasons for adoring her, or telling us what you think about our reasons. Just type in your comment, hit Submit, and I will approve it asap.
Remember to check back daily for this special feature, as we mark Miss Reese’s 36th birthday week.

Comments Off on Witherspoon Enchanted by Korean Temple Food, Handicrafts
Hollywood star Reese Witherspoon, who visited Korea to promote her new film “This Means War” last week, reportedly got swept away by the country’s traditional culture on her first trip to the capital. During her three-day trip, she was photographed looking at handicrafts in the famous tourist spot of Insa-dong in the downtown area and trying local delicacies.
She also tried some hotteok, or sweet pancake with brown sugar, from a street snack cart and revealed her interest in temple food recipes at a store selling ingredients. She also bought some presents for her two children and Korean cosmetics as gifts for her friends.
Earlier, Witherspoon said that she was impressed by the warm welcome from her Korean fans at a press conference on Thursday. She also revealed her hope of getting the chance to work with Korean director Bong Jun-ho, as well as expressing her appreciation of the films of Park Chan-wook.
“This Means War” is set to be released on local theaters on Wednesday.
While Reese did not walk the red carpet at last nights Oscars, she was featured within the ceremony! Throughout the night, several segments were shown with various stars talking about their love for movies, and Reese was one of them. She was shown within two separate segments, firstly talking about her childhood experiences with movies (her family went to the cinema on Sunday nights, she reminisced), and then expressing her love for Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell in her faourite film, Overboard, saying that it always cheers her up and touches her soul. It was really lovely to see her included and hear her talk about cinema, and the segments were a real highlight of the ceremony for me.
Unfortunately I haven’t been able to get a clip of these segments yet, but I will have HD screencaps for you tomorrow, so check back then!
You’ve become quite the fashion vixen, making some edgy choices but always getting rave reviews. Who’s your style icon, and how involved are you in selecting your clothes?
My style icons are people like Charlize Theron and Reese Witherspoon. They are beautiful, but in a natural way. They look like they take care of themselves but don’t do anything too crazy. They always look and act classy. I always just try to choose clothes that I feel good in. I really don’t focus on what the reviews will be, whether they are rave or not. I just want to feel good about myself.

Comments Off on Chelsea Handler talks about Reese in iVillage interview
This Means War star Chelsea Handler may be single — but don’t expect to see her describing herself as a “blond comedian who loves long walks on the beach.” The actress says she won’t be making an online dating profile anytime soon.
“Oh my God, I don’t know if I could ever date online,” she tells iVillage exclusively. “I don’t like dating to begin with. Dating is just too awkward. You can’t just like meet for coffee — it’s just too weird. And I can’t do it sober!”
But the one person Handler will hang out with sober is her BFF (and costar in her upcoming comedy, in theaters Feb. 17) Reese Witherspoon. “The last couple times we hung out we haven’t even had drinks,” says Handler, 36. “She said to me the other night, ‘God, we’re having a lot of sober time together. We better get refocused in the new year.'”
Watch our exclusive video to find out why Witherspoon refuses to drive up Handler’s driveway and why Handler “feels more comfortable” talking to the film’s director, McG, when his hand is on her boob.

Comments Off on Reese Witherspoon Has a Girl Crush on ‘Cute’ Rachel Bilson & ‘Lovable’ Jennifer Aniston
This Means War star Reese Witherspoon celebrated Valentine’s Day on the set of Conan last night. Getting in the spirit, Reese shared her celebrity crushes — girl crushes, that is!
“I have a girl crush on Rachel Bilson because I think she’s so cute,” Reese told Conan O’Brien on his show. “I also have a major girl crush on Jennifer Aniston. But, I mean, doesn’t everybody have a girl crush on Jennifer Aniston?”
“Dogs have crushes on Jeninfer Aniston,” Reese Joked. “There are dogs that are like, ‘I wish it were me in Marley & Me. She’s so cute.’ ”
But Reese’s crush shouldn’t come as a surprise. She recently revealed her crush while presenting Jen an award. “I played her younger sister on Friends mainly so I could meet Jennifer Aniston,” she explained. “She’s just so lovable and amazing.”
Reese also admitted she is in love with Pinterest!
“From what I can sort of see, it’s mainly for women and it’s mainly just a collection of the most amazing, wonderful craftiness on Earth!” she gushed.

Comments Off on Reese Witherspoon Admits Crushing On Johnny Depp
Let’s take a trip back in time — further back even than 1991, when an adorably precocious 14-year-old Reese Witherspoon, star of “The Man in the Moon,” sat down for her first-ever MTV interview.
Instead, let’s jump straight into the ’80s, as we did during Tuesday’s “MTV First: This Means War” live stream event, to learn a little bit about what the future Oscar-winner was like before showing up on the Hollywood scene. Because it was back then that Witherspoon was just a tween with a dream — a dream named Johnny Depp.
Regarding the first celebrity object of her affection, Witherspoon confessed during the interview, “I have to say probably Johnny Depp in ’21 Jump Street.’ I just had a really major crush on him. I used to pull pictures out of Teen Beat and put them on my wall.”
And now, a couple of decades later, she’s finally admitting it to the world, because she certainly has never told Depp. “I don’t think he knows,” she said, laughing. “I’m not sure it would faze him: I’m sure he’s heard that quite a bit.”
Depp, of course, graduated from “Jump Street” to big-screen icon, never once joining in a traditional, shoot-’em-up action flick — much like Witherspoon herself, until “This Means War.” The decision to sign on to one at this point in her career (opposite Chris Pine and Tom Hardy) stemmed from never wanting to repeat herself.
“I try not to make the same movie twice,” she explained. “I try to explore and push out in new areas, and I thought it was a nice way to get comedy and action together. I’ve never really been in a movie with a bunch of guns and action sequences. I’d turn to Tom and Chris and say, ‘The bad guys are chasing us — this is hysterical!’ It would just make me laugh. I think it’s ridiculous — me running from the bad guys. But it was really fun.”
