After more hard work, I have now continued and completed our 2003 Appearance photos gallery category, with the addition of over 400 more pics from events Reese attended that year. It was a relatively quiet year for her, as she mainly just did promotion for Legally Blonde 2.
I was never overly keen on Reese’s style this year, but after looking through all the photos again whilst sorting them to upload here, I have had a change of heart – in particular, I now adore her look at the New York premiere of Legally Blonde 2, it’s so pretty and elegant … it might even be one of my new favourites! I think Reese looks really happy in this year too, perhaps because of the little one she was carrying!
Enjoy a total of 535 gorgeous photos of a glowing Miss Reese in 2003 in the Gallery:
First off, Happy New Year to all our visitors!! I hope 2013 brings you lots of great things 🙂
Reese made a very funny appearance on the Christmas Day episode of the Chelsea Lately Show, with the two friends talking about Reese’s new son, and the possibility of Chelsea babysitting for Reese. Reese then tested Chelsea’s ability to look after a baby! It was a very funny interview – I always love Reese’s interviews with Chelsea because the conversation feels like two friends chatting together on television, and I think we see more of the real Reese than we do elsewhere.
Watch the interview below (I hope it will work for everyone!), and find HD screencaptures from it in our Gallery:
I’ve recently got my hands on a copy of The Trumpet Of The Swan, the 2001 animated movie in which Reese voiced beautiful swan Serena, and have now added a few captures of it to the Gallery. There are only a few captures, as we obviously don’t see Reese herself, but I thought it would be a nice addition to our Gallery so you can see what her animated swan looks like. I will be honest and say that I didn’t enjoy the movie for several reasons, and Reese really didn’t have many lines. Still, it’s the last movie to cross off my ‘Reese movies to see’ list, as well as completing our collection of screencaptures from Reese’s films in the Gallery, which is pretty awesome….
…. besides, Desperate Choices, that is, which I am discovering is impossible to find, unfortunately. I have never been able to find it, and I don’t think our former webmistresses were either. I will keep looking out for it though, in the hope that one day we shall find it!
Reese attended the Children’s Defense Fund Annual Beat The Odds Awards in Beverley Hills last night, where she presented Yahydia Iniguez with one of the awards of the night. The CDF Beat The Odds Awards honours young people as explained:
The CDF Beat the Odds program honors outstanding high schools students who have overcome tremendous adversity, demonstrated academic excellence and given back to their communities. Started in 1990, the program identifies and rewards young people who have experienced significant hardship in their lives and supports and trains them to become future leaders in adulthood.
Reese looked super pretty in a black lace Elie Saab cocktail dress with Christian Louboutin heels. She was accompanied to the event by her mum and daughter, although the family were not photographed together (that I am aware of). HQ photos are in our Gallery!
The Hollywood Reporter has a new article about three of Hollywood’s current most popular authors and the stars who are bringing their books to the big screen. Gillian Flynn, who wrote Gone Girl – which Reese bought the film rights too – is one of the authors, and poses alongside Reese for a photoshoot for the publication.
See the photo in our Gallery and read the blurb that came with it below. Read THR’s interview with Gillian Flynn at their website (there is no mention of Reese in it).
Gillian Flynn and Reese Witherspoon, Stephenie Meyer and ‘The Host’ Cast: Authors With Their Stars
Three of The Hollywood Reporter’s most powerful authors pose with the talent who will bring their characters to life.
‘Gone Girl’
Gillian Flynn’s Gone Girl drew the attention of Reese Witherspoon, who read the novel before it was even published on a recommendation from screenwriter Leslie Dixon. Witherspoon says she was impressed with the way Flynn was able to effectively tell the story from both male and female perspectives while also employing a nonlinear structure. “It’s just an incredible feat that Gillian was able to accomplish,” she says. “You really can’t anticipate where it’s going, but it’s one of those books you can’t stop reading.” The adaptation rights went to Fox in a summer auction for a reported $1.5 million; Witherspoon, Bruna Papandrea and Dixon are producing.
Trips: You are an incubus. A hell-spawned incubus. Ivy: Only a male can be an incubus. If anything, I’m a succubus. Trips: Yeah, you got the ‘suck’ part right.
Yes, today we have screencaptures from another of Reese’s wisecracking 90’s classics – this time, Overnight Delivery! Reese played Ivy in this movie, alongside Paul Rudd as Trips, and it is definitely one of my favourite Reese movies. It’s a funny, wild and madcap road-trip movie, and Reese and Paul Rudd are both hilarious in it and have such great chemistry. It’s too bad they didn’t make a sequel showing their journey home/wherever else Ivy planned to take them 😉 I wish this movie was more readily available. As such, I have searched high and low and the only screencaptures I could make from this film were small and not the best of quality, unfortunately. However I am still happy to be able to add caps from this film at all, so I hope you enjoy them too.
If you haven’t seen Overnight Delivery yet then I’d definitely recommend trying to track down a copy to watch!
After making screencaptures from the recent Ellen appearance (see the update below – don’t miss it!) I noticed I still had to add screencaptures from Reese’s appearance on Letterman earlier this year, so I have now done that. Reese looked really beautiful in a little red dress – I think it looks much nicer here than it did when she was pictured arriving at the studios. The interview was brilliant – I love hearing Reese talk about her kids and her mum, and the stories she told were hilarious. Watch/re-watch the interview here.
And here are the screencaptures of a very pretty and expressive Reese:
