Alongside all the fantastic new magazine scans, TV interviews and A Wrinkle In Time stills (make sure you catch up with all the recent posts), we also have new photoshoots! Reese and her A Wrinkle In Time ladies were photographed for various outlets during the movie’s press weekend at the end of February. There is a portrait session with Mindy Kaling and Oprah for AP, and USA Today have a shoot with the three leading ladies and director Ava DuVernay – we have most of the photos in high quality for you in our Gallery 😀 And last but not least, Marie Claire UK have used a previously unseen photo from the magazine’s photoshoot with Reese – it is so beautiful, and I’ve added it to our Gallery in gorgeous high quality for you!
On a side note, while we’re really glad that people are enjoying our Gallery, we do ask that if re-posting photos on Twitter or other social media and sites that you please leave our tag on and give us a link back. We do object, however, when people re-post every single photo that we post onto their own blog/site etc. – we spend a lot of time collecting and building our Gallery to ensure it is extensive, and it’s disheartening when our work is simply taken without any credit like this. Thanks for understanding.
We’ll have more A Wrinkle In Time promotional interviews and appearance photos for you very soon….
Aussie morning show Sunrise aired an interview with Reese, Mindy Kaling and Oprah Winfrey earlier today, to promote A Wrinkle In Time. The three-some talked about the message of hope in the film and the advice they’d give their teenage selves.
On Thursday, Reese and her A Wrinkle In Time co-stars and director made an appearance at Talks At Google in New York City – they talked in depth about the film, the book, and Ava DuVernay’s interpretation of it for this film. We have a few photos plus screencaptures of the event in our Gallery, but best of all – the whole event is below for you to watch:
Reese can be seen on the cover of the new April issue of Marie Claire UK – it’s the same interview as the earlier US edition, but it has a couple of new photos from the shoot. I love this photoshoot, and I’m glad they’ve chosen a slightly different shot for this cover. Pick up a copy asap if you can, and find the scans in our Gallery:
Reese made an appearance on Good Morning America on Wednesday to promote A Wrinkle In Time. She chatted about her recent visit to her Star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame, Time’s Up, the importance of representing women in film, Big Little Lies season 2, Little Fires Everywhere with Kerry Washington, and her upcoming Untitled Morning TV Show with Jennifer Aniston. Reese also received a special message from Dolly Parton who had been on the show last week; Reese mentioned that she “has a show coming on in about a month” in which she interviews Dolly Parton, so we’ll keep an ear out for more information on that in the coming weeks! Watch the interview below, and find screencaptures in our Gallery:
Lots of new A Wrinkle In Time stills & posters have been released recently, and our Gallery has been updated with them in beautiful high quality. Along with the stills and some international posters are high quality versions of the artwork used for the posters, which are intricate and colourful!
Reese promoted A Wrinkle In Time on two US late night chat shows this week – The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, and Late Night With Seth Meyers. On Stephen Colbert on Wednesday night, Reese chatted about a Bruce Springsteen Broadway Show she went to, Oprah’s on-set ‘rules’, Times Up, and Big Little Lies season 2 (they start it next week!). She then met US figure skating Olympian Adam Rippon, who she had shared some mutual admiration with during the recent Winter Olympics. Reese wore a little blue dress by Roksanda on this show.
The day after, she made an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers and chatted about the movie and her co-stars, her appearance hosting SNL in 2001 (that was Seth Meyers’ first appearance on the show), and Big Little Lies season 2. Reese hilariously demonstrated how she responded when she found out that Meryl Streep agreed to join the show! I loved this interview and Reese’s look on the show – it reminded me of late 90’s Reese!
There a few clips from the show further down this post (we’ll have more in our video archive when it’s launched) and photos and HD screencaptures in the Gallery:
Q&A: Oprah plays life coach to ‘Wrinkle in Time’ co-stars
“A Wrinkle in Time” director Ava DuVernay insists she didn’t consciously assemble three of the entertainment industry’s most successful and entrepreneurial women to play the celestial, all-knowing “Mrs.” characters in Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon and Mindy Kaling.
“I guess I’m attracted to that kind of energy: Like-minded take over the world-ness,” DuVernay said.
Winfrey, Witherspoon and Kaling spoke recently with The Associated Press about the film, DuVernay’s achievement, a changing industry and Winfrey’s life advice.
Remarks have been edited for clarity and brevity.
AP: You’ve all become fast friends it seems.
WITHERSPOON: It’s great to be around people who inspire you and lift you up. My grandma used to say, ‘People are either a radiator or a drain. Surround yourself with people who radiate light and goodness and love and do not stick around the drains because they will pull you down.’
WINFREY: Oh, that’s good, grandma!
AP: What do you think of the historic fact that Ava DuVernay got to direct this?
WITHERSPOON: It’s extraordinary when a company of this size puts their money into it and their entire marketing into this. This is not the level of marketing I’m used to.
KALING: I’m like Carrie Bradshaw where I’m walking down the street and see a bus with my face on it.
WINFREY: That happened to me! I’m driving down the street and I see my face on a bus stop and I’m like, ‘Stoppppp! Stoooopppp! That’s me!’
