Since our last Public Appearances Gallery catch-up post I’ve continued to work on completing this section of the Gallery, and I’m pleased to say that it’s now done! The 2015 events have been finished off, with lots of new HQ additions. 2015 was another very busy year for Reese – she started it off enjoying the success of Wild during awards season, then promoted Hot Pursuit, then enjoyed more awards success at the end of the year with career honours from the American Cinematheque and Glamour’s Women Of The Year. Reese had a lot of fun with her fashion this year too and sported a variety of looks, including some more daring styles and lots of colour. My favourite looks from this year include the 60’s look at the Critics Choices Awards, the glam Golden Globes glittery gown, her purple BAFTAs dress, the sultry and sassy Hot Pursuit premiere dress, and the chic Good Morning America outfit. This is definitely one of my favourite years for Reese photos, and there are some gorgeous photos in the Gallery now for you to enjoy too đ
There are a few more event photos to add to albums we already have up, but our next task in the Gallery is completing the Movies section….
Happy New Year Reese fans! Thanks for your support in 2017, and stick with us as we enjoy another year (our 17th!) of supporting Miss Witherspoon in her many adventures!
Glamour Reese Witherspoon would like to wish all of our visitors, and Reese and her family, a very Merry Christmas! We hope your holidays are filled with lots of festive fun and joy đ

Reese and her Big Little Lies co-stars and crew are named as one of Entertainment Weekly’s ‘Entertainers of the Year’ in their Best of 2017 issue. The show itself is also listed as one of the best of the year. We have scans in our Gallery and the issue is on news-stands now.
Big Little Lies cast and crew on their surprise hit of 2017
When Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman first got together to discuss bringing Liane Moriartyâs best-selling novel Big Little Lies to television, they never predicted the critical love, awards, and audience adulation that would follow (including a recently announced season 2).
âThis never happens! Itâs been simply extraordinary,â says Kidman. âItâs been such a surprise because as much as we believed in it, we didnât know whether it would connect.â
In fact, viewers flipped from the start over the story of three mothers (Kidman, Witherspoon, and Shailene Woodley) who become entwined when their small children are placed in the same class at a private school in tony Monterey, California. Each mother had a compelling story line: Thereâs Kidmanâs Celeste â beautiful, with a seemingly perfect life and handsome husband (Alexander SkarsgĂ„rd) â who hides her domestic-abuse truth; Witherspoonâs Madeline, a feisty ringleader who must contend with her ex-husband and his perfect new wife (ZoĂ« Kravitz); and Jane (Woodley), a young single mom hiding a big secret, who ends up tangling with alpha mom Renata (Laura Dern).
In a new interview with the LA Times, Laura Dern reflects on some of her past roles – including Wild and Big Little Lies:
Wild
âItâs where I found Reese [Witherspoon]. Reese and I were texting recently and I was like, âWho would have thought that I would have found my Bogart in Reese Witherspoon?â We have this particularly exciting connection and chemistry â or whatever it is â to go to whatever places are offered us. This was a very emotional film, and we did difficult things together, and I couldnât have a better time with an actor. But the larger gift of âWildâ is that Cheryl Strayed enters your life and everything changes forever. Sheâs really a philosopher of how to take the broken and thrive. She has continued to teach me every day.â
Big Little Lies
âItâs the best time ever to be working on something that is about not only powerful but complicated women. Women with longings, who are searching to be stronger for themselves and their family. Exploring those themes was amazing, but to be doing it with a group of people who I now consider family is off-the-charts fantastic.â
The Criterion Collection is a group that “has been dedicated to gathering the greatest films from around the world and publishing them in editions that offer the highest technical quality and award-winning, original supplements” in order to make them available to a wider audience. Earlier this month, they added Reese’s 1999 comedy-drama Election to their collection.
Alexander Payneâs whip-smart political satire Election tells the tale of a knock-down, drag-out campaign for student-body president, as a teacher (Matthew Broderick) plots to undermine a seeming shoo-in (Reese Witherspoon) who has gotten under his skin. In the years since the political satireâs 1999 release, the candidate who finds herself suddenly embattled, Tracy Flick, has gone on to achieve a kind of iconic status, earning a place in the pop-cultural consciousness as the textbook overachiever. This is, of course, a testament to Witherspoonâs masterful performance, in which the actor makes Tracyâs determination and sense of entitlement readily apparent in every flared nostril and overly perky utterance. In the clip, taken from an interview included on our edition of Election, Witherspoon discusses her close collaboration with Payne and how it resulted in some of the filmâs most memorable moments.
The DVD-Blu-ray is available through Amazon.com, and has the following special features:

Reese and her A Wrinkle In Time female co-stars grace the cover of the latest issue of US current affairs magazine Time! The magazine has a new photoshoot of Reese, Oprah Winfrey, Mindy Kaling and Storm Reid, with an accompanying article about the making of the film. It’s a great read and the start of what is likely to be a big promotional campaign for the film, which will be released in the US on March 9th. The scans, photoshoot, and new stills from the feature have been added to our Gallery.
Pick up a copy of the magazine on news-stands if you can!
Laura Dern appeared on Good Morning America on Thursday to promote her new Star Wars movie – she also talked about Big Little Lies:
‘Big Little Lies’ star talks about ‘constantly group texting’ with her co-stars
Laura Dern, who scored a Golden Globe nomination for HBOâs “Big Little Lies,” said Reese Witherspoon is the most voracious texter among her female co-stars.
âSheâs teaching us other girls how to be better communicators, God love it,â Dern said on âGood Morning Americaâ today of her co-star.
She said the women on the hit HBO series â Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Shailene Woodley and Zoe Kravitz â are âconstantly group texting.â
âItâs true,â she added. âItâs the beautiful thing of women getting to work together after years of being the only girl on a film. Suddenly you get to share parenting and struggles of the day, not just our work.â
With news hitting of âBig Little Liesâ season 2 returning as a limited series, Dern said the women of the cast are âexcited.â
âWeâre all in the hands of the genius brain of David Kelley, so weâll see what he orchestrates for us,â she said of the showâs creator and writer. âWeâre in love with the characters and weâre deep best friends now, this group of girls.â
Congratulations to Reese and her Big Little Lies co-stars and crew for their 4 nominations at the Screen Actors Guild Awards! Extremely well deserved!
The ceremony will be held on January 21st, and will air live on TNT and TBS at 8pm ET.
