Glamour Reese Witherspoon would like to wish our lovely visitors, as well as Reese and her family and loved ones, a very Merry Christmas! Reese’s festive season is bound to be extra exciting this year, as it will be baby Tennessee’s first Christmas! I hope the family has a really fun holiday! And I hope that your holidays are filled with shiny presents, yummy food, loved ones and most importantly lots of Christmas joy!
Reese recently told E! News about her Christmas plans, saying “It’s so fun. It’s chaos with three kids, but it’s so fun, you know? It’s great to have all those experiences, to be able to share them with the baby. The kids are super excited.”
If you’re looking to spice up your festive season Reese-style, then be sure to try out Reese’s special Spiced Tea Receipe, which you can find here.
I’ve recently got my hands on a copy of The Trumpet Of The Swan, the 2001 animated movie in which Reese voiced beautiful swan Serena, and have now added a few captures of it to the Gallery. There are only a few captures, as we obviously don’t see Reese herself, but I thought it would be a nice addition to our Gallery so you can see what her animated swan looks like. I will be honest and say that I didn’t enjoy the movie for several reasons, and Reese really didn’t have many lines. Still, it’s the last movie to cross off my ‘Reese movies to see’ list, as well as completing our collection of screencaptures from Reese’s films in the Gallery, which is pretty awesome….
…. besides, Desperate Choices, that is, which I am discovering is impossible to find, unfortunately. I have never been able to find it, and I don’t think our former webmistresses were either. I will keep looking out for it though, in the hope that one day we shall find it!
Reese is voicing her support for Naomi Watts and her performance in The Impossible in Entertainment Weekly’s new ‘Consider This’ Oscar featurette. Being a big fan of Naomi Watts myself, I am so excited to see Reese doing this! Reese describes the film so powerfully and eloquently.
To see what Reese is talking about, go and see The Impossible when it hits US theatres on December 21st. Check out international release dates at IMDB.
CONSIDER THIS: Reese Witherspoon’s fan letter to Naomi Watts for ‘The Impossible’
With Academy Awards voting underway, EW’s Prize Fighter is kicking off the “Consider This” series, asking folks with Oscar histories of their own to share their personal favorites of the year. Reese Witherspoon, who won the best actress award in 2006 for Walk the Line, shared with us a letter she wrote to Naomi Watts about her role in The Impossible, playing Maria Belon, a mother of three fighting for her family’s survival in the 2004 tsunami:
Hi Naomi,
I know we don’t know each other well. I hope it’s ok that I am reaching out to you, because I simply could not contain my enthusiasm about your performance in The Impossible.
Wow. Just wow. I was blown away by the film. The story of survival and the incredible images of the tsunami and the performances of the entire cast were astounding. By far, one of the best films I have ever seen in my life.
I could not speak for 24 hours after seeing the film. It was more than a movie. It was a mediation on life and family and humanity. It was fortifying.

Here’s a fun little tidbit – Reese was spotted out having lunch with fellow actress Mindy Kaling a few days ago, and while Mindy won’t confirm or deny whether it was a business meeting or just two friends catching up, she did tell E! that she would love to work with Reese
“Because she’s so sweet and so articulate and well raised, to me it would be really fun to have her play somebody out of control. That would be really fun for me.”
Reese attended the Children’s Defense Fund Annual Beat The Odds Awards in Beverley Hills last night, where she presented Yahydia Iniguez with one of the awards of the night. The CDF Beat The Odds Awards honours young people as explained:
The CDF Beat the Odds program honors outstanding high schools students who have overcome tremendous adversity, demonstrated academic excellence and given back to their communities. Started in 1990, the program identifies and rewards young people who have experienced significant hardship in their lives and supports and trains them to become future leaders in adulthood.
Reese looked super pretty in a black lace Elie Saab cocktail dress with Christian Louboutin heels. She was accompanied to the event by her mum and daughter, although the family were not photographed together (that I am aware of). HQ photos are in our Gallery!

A month or so ago rumours circulated that Reese was going to record a duet with Michael Buble, and now the singer himself has confirmed this is true! Michael Buble told UK morning show Daybreak that “By all accounts it would be true. I just really am a big fan and so myself and my camp, we wanted to do this with her and we were thrilled that she was excited about it, too.”
The duet will appear on Buble’s 6th studio album, which is set for release in 2013.
We will bring you more on this as it comes out!
EDIT: As I continued to go through recent Google news articles on Reese, I came across a more recent one from E! which claims that a “source” confirms to them that this duet is “not happening”. Either way, we’ll keep you posted…
