I don’t usually post movie reviews here anymore, partly because there are so many, and partly because I think it’s nicer for you to search out and read a variety of the ones you want, rather than me just posting the good ones here 😉 But I’ve just come across this This Means War review from the New York Times which I thought had an interesting comment on Reese’s career. Have a read below, and if you want more This Means War reviews, head on over to Google and Google News to do a search…
Buddy C.I.A. Officers Trade Guns for Roses
The cute couple in the strained, largely mirthless romantic comedy “This Means War” sometimes walk and talk alike. And because this is something of a spy flick — aspirationally, it aims for a genre hybrid along the lines of “Mr. and Mrs. Smith,” with its locked-and-loaded love — the pair can execute a nice run-and-gun pas de deux. They’re awfully pretty these two, light on their feet and easy with the banter, but because they’re played by Tom Hardy and Chris Pine, and the age of mainstream-studio gay love has yet to dawn, Reese Witherspoon keeps getting in the way.
Reese’s new action-comedy movie This Means War is released in US theatres nationwide today! Reese stars alongside Tom Hardy and Chris Pine in what has been called her “sexiest role yet”, and a plot that she describes as “every woman’s fantasy”!
The world’s deadliest CIA operatives are inseparable partners and best friends until they fall for the same woman. Having once helped bring down entire enemy nations, they are now employing their incomparable skills and an endless array of high-tech gadgetry against their greatest nemesis ever – each other.
Check out all our News & Updates on the movie (Reese has been busy promoting it!), as well as all the photos we have from the movie. And don’t forget to pay a visit to the Official Site. The official theatrical trailer is below.

FoxSingapore have released a promotional featurette video for This Means War, with clips from the movie, interviews, and behind the scenes footage. Most of it we’ve seen before, but there are a couple of Reese interview snippets that I haven’t seen before. See for yourself:
Oscar winning star Reese Witherspoon sits down with the MediaJor (Jorge Carreon) to dish about the joys of making her first real action pic, “This Means War,” the importance of having the counsel of good friends and why Cheetohs will forever remind her of pal/co-star Chelsea Handler.
‘The Artist’ And 20 Other Films Put Costumes On Display
To create the Oscar-nominated costumes for “The Artist,” designer Mark Bridges had to think in both color and black and white.
“Things that you wouldn’t notice in color suddenly showed up when it became black and white,” he said. “A simple beaded flapper dress suddenly became maternity wear.”
The costumes from “The Artist”, a black-and-white silent film, can be seen in all their brilliant colors at the FIDM Museum & Galleries 20th annual Art of Motion Picture Costume Design Exhibit, which is on view until April 28 at the downtown Los Angeles

The nominees’ work stands among other outstanding attire from the past year’s films. There is the pink beaded performance dress Reese Witherspoon wore in “Water for Elephants” and Viola Davis’ maid’s uniform from “The Help,” plus the armor from “Thor,” suits from “J. Edgar” and cowboy clothing from “Cowboys & Aliens.”
