Continuing our exclusive scans run, I’ve now added scans from the April issue of UK Elle magazine! A very big thank you goes to Kimberly for kindly contributing scans of the editorial to us (the 2 covers in the album are web-finds). While this isn’t my favourite photoshoot of Reese’s, it’s always nice to see something different from her, and the interview is a typically good read. Plus, it is also always great to see her on the cover of a magazine!
Please do not re-post these scans elsewhere as they were contributed exclusively to Glamour Reese – thanks!
I have a big magazine scan and photoshoot update for you today! To start with – and best of all – are exclusive scans from the recent People magazine that covered Reese’s wedding! We can see 2 gorgeous photos from the wedding and lots of “insider info” about the ceremony. Big thanks to my friend Ali for these scans. Ali has also sent us scans from a small feature on Reese in the May issue of In Style.
As for other scans, a big thank you goes to Mirik for tons of scans from recent international magazines, including French Premiere and Total Film UK, both of which have a couple of new Water For Elephants photo of Reese.
Onto the photoshoots, and I’ve added some gorgeous HQ photos from the recent Entertainment Weekly Water For Elephants photoshoot, plus another new shoot of Reese taken for the LA Times.
Reese, Christoph Waltz and Robert Pattinson appeared on the French TV show ‘Le Grand Journal’ today. You can watch the videos (I think there are 2 parts) HERE or click the screencap below, as I don’t seem to be able to embed them! Screencaps will be added asap.
ABCNews.com have posted a great new interview with Reese, including a short out-take in which she breaks into song! Unfortunately they have disabled embedding, so just click the links below to watch the videos:
Where does Robert Pattinson begin and Edward Cullen end? At this point in the young “Twilight” thesp’s career it’s tough to separate the heartthrob actor from the heartthrob bloodsucker, but he’s currently making his second attempt at changing all that – after one false start with the disappointing “Remember Me” – with “Water for Elephants”, the upcoming adaptation of Sara Gruen’s bestselling historical novel. In the film, Pattinson plays Jacob Jankowski, a circus veterinarian who gets involved in a messy love triangle with equestrian beauty Marlena (Reese Witherspoon) and her ruthless animal-trainer husband August (“Inglourious Basterds’” charming Christoph Waltz).
Given the talent pedigree of the film, which was directed by “I Am Legend” helmer Francis Lawrence, it would seem a smart choice for Pattinson to take on the more “adult” role opposite Witherspoon and Waltz, though the actor certainly wasn’t about to admit to that kind of career calculation to a room full of image-burnishing journalists (he needs to stay “relatable”, after all). He’d rather have us believe he accepted the part merely for the opportunity to work with “Tai” (in the film she’s named ”Rosie”), the trained elephant who in the film is purchased by August to help boost his traveling show’s anemic ticket sales.
“I basically decided to do the movie at that point”, said the elegantly-rumpled Pattinson of first meeting the pachyderm, who’d earlier been on display outside the swanky Fairmont Miramar Hotel in Santa Monica where the press conference was being held. “I hadn’t read the script or anything!”
Luckily he wasn’t on the panel for Pattinson to unintentionally offend screenwriter Richard LaGravenese – only Lawrence, Waltz, and Witherspoon, the latter speaking in that slight Tennessee drawl as she described her own first encounter with the enormous animal.
Take a behind-the-scenes look at how American Humane Association’s Certified Animal Safety Representatives ensured that “No Animals Were Harmed” during the filming of “Water for Elephants,” including clips of the film’s stars, Reese Witherspoon and Robert Pattinson.
As posted about a while ago, Reese is on the cover of the May issue of US Vogue. Well I am now finally able to provide you with more coverage from the issue! My fabulous friend Luciana has sent me some perfect HQ photos from the Water For Elephants themed photoshoot, and Vogue.com have also posted the interview, which you can read below.
Now all we need is scans of the magazine! Let me know if you can help with this 😉
What do you think about the new photoshoot and interview? I think the interview is great, and shows off the ‘new’ Reese. She seems really happy and contented at the moment, which is wonderful!
Reese Witherspoon: A Day at the Circus
On March 26, Reese Witherspoon was married to talent manager Jim Toth in a simple, elegant affair at her ranch in Ojai, California. Vogue’s Jonathan Van Meter spoke to the actress a few months before her wedding and discovered that, although the actress learned to ride an elephant for her role in the film, that’s nothing compared to balancing fame, love, and family.
Here she comes, waving like Miss America but looking like a blonde Audrey Hepburn. She is dressed in all black—leggings, cardigan, Wayfarers, and a kitten heel. The wave is hilariously exuberant, and even from a block away, as she strides purposefully toward me, I can see that the smile is comic: forced and way too big. And with that one winning gesture—a perfectly timed little burst of goofball—Reese Witherspoon signals that she is not only painfully aware that the sidewalk has suddenly become a runway lined with paparazzi yelling her name on an otherwise quiet Thursday afternoon in Santa Monica, but also that she is OK with it. Look at my weird life! she shouts without saying a word.
It’s a beautiful sunny day in early February, and we are meeting at the Blue Plate Oysterette, a hip little seafood joint not far from the Santa Monica Pier. Witherspoon, still at the curb, stares at the outside tables for a moment and then looks back at the photographers in the street still snapping away. She glances at the hostess, then at me, and finally says, with an ironic exclamation point, “How about inside!”
