Broadway, television, the music charts… What hasn’t Lea Michele conquered yet? The silver screen! Well, not yet! E! Online reports that the Glee star is in final talks to make her big screen debut in the upcoming Gary Marshall ensemble film New Year’s Eve, a follow-up to his recent hit Valentine’s Day.
Like Valentine’s Day, the new film will follow a bunch of characters as they navigate their way through one eventful New Year’s Eve. There’s no official announcement on the film or Michele’s involvement yet, but Marshall is said to be determined to get the rising star in his film. Other stars on his wish list include Justin Bieber, Zac Efron, Halle Berry and Reese Witherspoon.

It is being said that this is the Year of the Actress. It very may be, and if it is, it’s a long time coming. As we head out of the bulk of the year and into a very heated next four months, there are some things we know for sure. We know that Annette Bening (The Kids Are All Right) and Natalie Portman (Black Swan) are the two strongest contenders right now to win. We know that Jennifer Lawrence emerged with one of the year’s best performances in Winter’s Bone, and she will likely also be nominated. That leaves two open slots. And for those two spots, things might get a little heated.
Reese Witherspoon – I might be the first to throw this up, but Jim Brooks is particularly good at getting his leading ladies Oscar nominations. We don’t know anything about the movie yet – and from what I’ve seen it doesn’t look as good as Terms of Endearment, As Good as it Gets or Broadcast News, but still, it’s Jim Brooks.

Brenda Chapman has left the director’s chair for Pixar’s upcoming movie Brave.
Chapman – who was to be the first female director for the animation studio – is now no longer working at Pixar, reports Cartoon Brew. The filmmaker had previously helmed DreamWorks animation The Prince Of Egypt.
Mark Andrews, the director behind Pixar short film One Man Band, has taken over the film.
Brave centres on a princess who turns her back on royalty to become an archer. Reese Witherspoon, Billy Connolly, Emma Thompson and Julie Walters are among the voice cast.
The animation will open in cinemas on June 15, 2012.
Reese has been hard at work on the set of her new movie This Means War these past few weeks, and as promised, I’ve now added over 300 photos from the set! Reese has been filming with both of her leading men, Chris Pine and Tom Hardy, on the set in Vancouver, and you can also see her chatting to director McG in some photos. A few weeks ago, Reese attended a benefit for the LiveStrong Foundation hosted by the ‘Hollywood Power Players’ in West Hollywood. She looked chic and pretty in a black skirt suit with her blonde hair loose. Photos are in the Gallery for you!

First off I am sorry about the shortage of updates here this past month! I’ve been without internet for most of that time, and then last week I was too busy to work on updates here. I am starting to catch-up with all the latest Reese news and photos now though. Reese has actually been quite busy recently – she’s attended a new event, and has started shooting This Means War in Vancouver. All of these new photos will be added asap this week, but to start with I’ve added new stills from Reese’s upcoming theatrical release, How Do You Know. This includes one new still and one HQ replacement for a photo we previously had. Enjoy!
